Athletic Coordinator Jobs

Ability to demonstrate: leadership, time management, interpersonal and communication skills; organized, attentive to details, with proficient technical skills.

Equivalent to two (2) years of professional experience in one of the student services program areas or in a related field.

A Master’s degree in a job-related field may be substituted for one year of the professional experience.

Experience working with a diverse population to include, administrators, coaches, staff, faculty, students and student-athletes preferred.

Experience working as a tutor coordinator with student-athletes or as an educator preferred.

Experience overseeing a population of student workers in addition to program oversight experience preferred.

Ability to analyze course prerequisites, certification, and/or curriculum/graduation requirements

Demonstrated and successful experience providing academic advising and/or academic support in education, with evidence of effectively serving the student population.

Supervise a Graduate Assistant to help manage tutoring program

Provides education and training to student athletes and Athletics staff regarding athlete mental health

Maintains regular office hours for clinical appointments and intakes designed for intercollegiate student-athlete population

Serves as initial point of referral for mental health services for student-athletes and as a liaison to the Counseling Center

Serves on the Wellness Committee

Develops and/or modifies treatment/performance plans and counsel individual student- athletes, charts clinical progress, and provides follow-up care as required

Consults with co-treating providers (i.e., psychiatric, trainers, medical, nutrition), for an integrated service, as appropriate
