Youth Development Specialist Key Responsibilities

Live coaching sessions where you will guide students on using learning apps effectively, discuss proven best practices, and provide success strategies

Offline coaching where you will review and troubleshoot ineffective live sessions, helping refine students' learning strategies by making more in-depth recommendations

Provide clear and honest feedback on performance metrics to students, reinforcing their accountability

Traditional teaching or tutoring: Our learning model revolves around technology and promotes independent learning

Possesses willingness to improve by attending seminars or educational programs geared to enhance skills and knowledge relative to adolescent development.

Excellent program development and facilitation skills with a strong background in the delivery of educational, recreational and employment services.

Bachelor Degree in a related field, Social Sciences/Education.

Associate degree with documentation of at least 3 years of full-time experience as a youth service worker.

2 -3 years' experience working with adolescents.

Must possess strong organization skills; must exhibit the ability to relate positively with all levels of professionals.

Oversees and works closely with high risk/volatile youth with complex behavioral problems.

Assesses client physical, mental, social and behavioral needs.

Develops and implements individualized treatment plans.

Conducts individual, family, or group counseling sessions in accordance with the established treatment plan.

Identifies and applies appropriate security, safety, and control intervention techniques.

Supervises youth with complex behavioral needs.

Oversees and works closely with high risk/volatile youth with complex behavioral problems.

Assesses client physical, mental, social and behavioral needs.

Develops and implements individualized treatment plans.

Conducts individual, family, or group counseling sessions in accordance with the established treatment plan.

Identifies and applies appropriate security, safety, and control intervention techniques.

Supervises youth with complex behavioral needs.

Assisting with teaching a variety of pro-social, academic and vocational skills

Mentoring, oversee and work closely with high risk/violent youth offenders

Scheduling and provide supervision of individual and group activities

Writing court reports, parole summaries, treatment plans, and supervision standards

Co-facilitating individual, family or group sessions with a Licensed Mental Health Practitioner

Pass the Integrated Crisis Response (ICR) intervention program within 90 days of employment. Provide crisis intervention when necessary

Oversees and works closely with high risk/volatile youth with complex behavioral problems.

Develops and implements individualized treatment plans.

Conducts individual, family, or group counseling sessions in accordance with the established treatment plan

You have experience as a camp counselor, athletic coach, or similar non-teaching role

Experience performing at an elite level (Division 1 sports, Presidential Scholar, etc.)
