Whs Assistant Varsity Football Coach Jobs

Ensures the regular supervision of student athletes at home and away games and ensures appropriate behavior.

Makes recommendations regarding the purchase of uniforms, equipment, and supplies. Also manages inventory.

Maintains appropriate certifications and training hours as required.

Manages other duties as assigned.

One to two years of experience as a football coach.

Excellent communication skills, both oral and written.

Possesses knowledge of Title IX implications.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES (including but not limited to):

Possesses high school diploma or its equivalent.

Participates as a member of Whitefish High School's Coaching Staff.

Reports directly to the Head Coach.

Responsible to Activities Director, Principal and/or Superintendent.

Must have or willing to obtain NFHS Certification and Steroid and Concussion Management Training.

Ability and skill to oversee and direct the athletic team to which assigned.

Personal qualifications which indicate an ability to understand and work with youth

Prior job-related experience will be considered but not required.

Such alternative or additional qualifications as the Administration/Athletic Director may find appropriate or acceptable.

Must have or be able to obtain a First Aid and CPR certification.

Possesses knowledge of Title IX implications.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES (including but not limited to):

Participates as a member of Whitefish High School's Coaching Staff.

Reports directly to the Head Coach.

Responsible to Activities Director, Principal and/or Superintendent.

Establishing year-round strategies and processes to train & invest in student skill development.

Creating skill enrichment programs and opportunities.

Must have current knowledge of techniques, rules and regulations, and training theory of the sport.

Demonstrated ability to lead & inspire diverse youth. Experience working with lower income students preferred.

Demonstrated exceptional organizational and planning skills.

Planning and overseeing all aspects of the sport’s program.

Must possess effective coaching techniques and skills – MIAA certification

Preferred 3 years of experience coaching football at the high school level

Knowledge of the rules, regulations, strategies, and techniques of the sport and NCAA

Excellent organizational, communicational, and interpersonal skills

Determine game strategy based on the teams’ capabilities

Determine individual players abilities, strengths, and weaknesses, and factor these into the gameplay and strategy sessions

Background and experience utilizing the types of skills typically used in broadcast journalism, including interviewing, public speaking, videography, editing and production.

Valid Provincial Primary Care Paramedic Certification from the Ministry of Health OR the Canadian Organization of Paramedic Regulators;

Current valid Emergency Medical Technician Basic Certification from the Department of Health OR the National Registry of Emergency Medical Technicians (NREMT);

Minimize the AA risk of injury through awareness, education and proactive engagement.

Willing to be trained to teach first aid, CPR, and AED certification classes.

Experience with an industrial wellness program.

Possesses knowledge of Title IX implications.
