Assistant Information Systems Director Jobs

Engages with users to precisely define and specify requirements. Performs installation, maintenance and troubleshooting of computer application systems in user offices.

Participates in the development, programming, testing, and implementation of new systems releases and functionalities.

Provides support on systems development matters, including cybersecurity and data backup and disaster recovery.

Performs other related duties as required.

High school diploma or equivalent.

Ten or more years of progressive IT experience, including experience in a multi-office environment with remote primary data centers

Lead responsibility for the Programing and Development team supporting a large SharePoint environment

Lead for the Applications team which is responsible for the design, configuration, security, support and maintenance

Bachelor’s degree required in computer science or related field.

*Hybrid, 3 days a week in office)

2 years of relevant management experience is preferred.

Management and Oversight for assigned applications (30%)

Financial and Resource management (20%)

8 years of relevant experience required; experience in healthcare preferred.

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business, or related field required.

JOB DESCRIPTION AND POSITION REQUIREMENTS:

This position is a 10-month position with the months of June and July off including full benefits.

Maintaining a social media presence by publishing articles reflecting the success of members of our athletic team

Supporting all special events that occurs within the athletic organization.

Assist with all promotion of events organized by the athletic department.

Broad and deep quality management, computer systems management, process management, project management and continuous improvement knowledge and experience

Specialized depth of knowledge and demonstrated experience with global regulatory requirements and standards/best practices for computer systems within GxP-regulated environments

Skilled at applying risk management principles and processes, managing change

Advance deeper understanding of GxP regulations (GxP predicate rules) to ensure appropriate phase-appropriate systems life cycle management and oversight.

Collaborate with Business and Quality Leaders to develop and implement data integrity metrics to ensure effective QMS performance management.

Key Technical Knowledge, Skills and Competencies:

Work closely with the department Office Manager on the annual athletic awards program.

Work closely with the Director of Athletics Communications (SID) including but not limited to the following areas:

Write and prepare releases, game programs, feature stories, game recaps pertaining to Hartwick Athletics for dispersal to media outlets

Help maintain athletic website (rosters, schedules, stats, releases, game recaps)

Serve as statistician for home athletic events (as assigned)

Create promotional graphics and video content

Comprehensive knowledge and experience with information technology, large scale and complex systems development, and computer operations management.

Knowledge and experience with Project Management, Program Management, and Portfolio Management.

Progressively responsible management experience in a large-scale, complex IT environment.

Experience with DGS Laboratory Information Management System (LIMS), AIM, M5, COVATrax, eVA, Flagstore, and/or Payport.

Knowledge and experience in IT and knowledge of a variety of technical environments, integration, enterprise architecture, and Capitol campus network.

Knowledge and experience with cyber security issues and emerging issues.

Provides technical support on relevant cloud services used in conference management operations.

Maintains regular contact with users and technical staff in DGACM and provides support as required.

Provides guidance to new/junior staff.

Performs other related duties as required.
