Overview Assistant Community Planners are responsible for providing assistance to Community Planners in the development and implementation of community planning projects. They are responsible for researching and analyzing data, preparing reports, and providing technical assistance to local governments and other stakeholders. Detailed Job Description Assistant Community Planners are responsible for providing support to Community Planners in the development and implementation of community planning projects. This includes researching and analyzing data, preparing reports, and providing technical assistance to local governments and other stakeholders. They must be able to interpret and apply local, state, and federal regulations, and must be knowledgeable about land use planning, zoning, and other related topics. They must be able to work with a variety of stakeholders, including local governments, developers, and community members. Job Skills Required• Knowledge of local, state, and federal regulations related to land use planning, zoning, and other related topics
• Ability to interpret and apply regulations
• Ability to research and analyze data
• Ability to prepare reports
• Ability to provide technical assistance to local governments and other stakeholders

Job Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree in urban planning, public administration, or a related field
• At least one year of experience in a related field
• Knowledge of GIS software and other related software
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

• Knowledge of land use planning, zoning, and other related topics
• Knowledge of local, state, and federal regulations related to land use planning
• Knowledge of GIS software and other related software
Job Experience
• At least one year of experience in a related field
• Experience working with a variety of stakeholders
• Experience researching and analyzing data
• Experience preparing reports
