Qualifications For An Hvac Technician / Entry-level Apprentice

Willing and able to work from heights and/or small crawl spaces

full-time HVAC Technician / Entry-Level Apprentice

Required Skills, Knowledge, and Abilities:

Working knowledge of installing soft copper and ACR copper refrigeration piping using proper soldering/brazing techniques.

High School Diploma or General Education Diploma (GED)

Minimum one year of residential, commercial, or industrial repair/service experience.

EPA Section 608 Technician Certification (Type I, Type, II, Type III, or Type Universal), a plus.

Ability to utilize reference skills to locate accurate information quickly with minimal resource.

! $22.00 PER HOUR WITH NO EXPERIENCE.

Learn basic lay out of Millard Sprinkler irrigation systems vs non Millard Sprinkler systems.

Study and certify on Hunter Irrigation Products, including clocks, parts and system lay out.

Learn and certify on system start up and winterization.

Preform system start ups and winterizations unassisted.

Learn to install and repair all system parts including but not limited to, nozzles, heads, and joints.

Educate and assist customers in choosing the best finance options and maintenance plans.

Show yourself as professional and knowledgeable to win new referrals and repeat business.

Know how to establish customer rapport to sell the right products and services.

Understand your sales criteria and hold yourself accountable for exceeding revenue goals.

Work alongside customer service representatives and dispatch team members to ensure overall success of the business.

Maintain a clean, organized job site and well inventoried truck.

Educate and assist customers in choosing the best finance options and maintenance plans.

Show yourself as professional and knowledgeable to win new referrals and repeat business.

Maintaining positive working relationships with customers, technicians, dispatch, sales and management

1 year of HVAC trade school or 1 year of mechanical and/or electrical work experience

Must be mechanically inclined and possess good customer service skills

Strong oral, written, interpersonal communication skills, as well as excellent documentation and organizational skills

Helping and performing startup, service, maintenance and repair of HVAC equipment and HVAC systems according to service procedures

Making steady progress towards Journeyman Level Service Technician
