Aircraft Maintenance Surface Coat Technician Jobs

Positions available for technicians of various experience and skill levels.

Other duties as assigned by Supervisor and Manager.

Background position skill ranking areas: Language Skills:

Perform aircraft maintenance transit inspections and fault resolution.

Accomplish aircraft system testing and troubleshooting procedures.

Accomplish removal and replacement of defective parts to include final operational checks.

Experience on either of the following aircraft models are preferred: Challenger 350, 650, Global 5000/6000, Phenom 300, Cessna Citation, Gulfstream 450/550.

Troubleshooting experience with a multi meter and using calibrated testing equipment.

Experience with Microsoft Office and Apple products.

The ability to multi-task and take directions in a fast-paced environment.

Perform maintenance on a variety of corporate aircraft including: Global Express, Gulfstream, Challenger, Citation and Phenom 300 type aircraft.

Perform aircraft maintenance in accordance with FAA approved technical data and Jet East Certified Repair Station guidelines.

High school diploma or general education degree (GED) and 2+ years related experience and/or training

Knowledge of 14 CFR Part 145 maintenance requirements and regulations.

Automotive, diesel-mechanical experience and electrical knowledge

Duties include the following (other duties may be assigned as required by management):

Ensures the safety and quality of all assigned duties and responsibilities by actively and positively participating in ACI Jet’s SQMS program.

Assist Site Manager in all other operations duties as the need arises.

Comfortable or experienced around heavy machinery

Desire to expand mechanical and equipment experience portfolio

Good computer skills including knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word, and Adobe

Experience of direct involvement with FAR 135 and/or 145 policies and procedures

Working knowledge of FAA regulations

Experience with Apple and Microsoft products especially Outlook, Word, and Excel spreadsheets

Ensure all work is accomplished in accordance with Gama Aviation Engineering’s policies and procedures (RSQCM), manufacturer’s maintenance manuals, and FAA regulations.

Document maintenance discrepancies and take necessary actions to correct the items.

Pilatus PC12, King Air, Bell 407 and 429 experience with factory training.

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES

Previous experience as an A&P mechanic or airline experience.

A strong aptitude for acquiring new mechanical skills and knowledge required.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE -

High school diploma or equivalent required; further education or advance instruction relative to technical field is desired.

Four plus years’ mechanical experience preferred.

Experience on Boeing 107/CH46 or Boeing 234/CH47 aircraft components preferred.

Training and experience utilizing Lean methods in a production environment preferred.

Accepts and performs all responsibilities delegated by the Director of Maintenance or their delegate.

Basic skills on Company provided hardware and software.

Maintains, alters, and performs preventative maintenance with strict adherence to manufacturers’ recommendations and FARs Parts 43 and 91.

Assists in the maintenance of all aircraft facilities, equipment and grounds.

Participates in the deployment and recovery of all aircraft utilizing NASCAR’s facilities.

Arranges fuel loads and monitors all refueling.

One year of mechanical experience (outside of educational experience) 

One year of aircraft maintenance experience (outside of educational experience) 

One year of heavy jet maintenance experience (outside of educational experience) 

One year of full-time work experience 

Prior work experience in the airline industry 

Prior electronics/avionics experience or FCC license 

Keep abreast of the latest techniques through reading publications and exchange of experiences with others.

Holds an FAA A&P Certificate or able to obtain certification within 90 days

Internship in Aviation or 3 months practical experience as an active aircraft maintenance

Demonstrates knowledge of the FAA Regulations and standards relating to aircraft maintenance.

This position is based out of Omaha, Nebraska. We do not offer relocation assistance for this role.

Reports to the Chief of Maintenance. In his absence, he or she will report to the Director of Maintenance.

Minimum Education and Experience Requirements:

Have a working knowledge of the FAA Regulations

Must have eyesight and dexterity necessary to meet the performance requirements of Federal Air Regulations 65, subpart D and AC-65-2d.

Must possess computer skills competent to today’s standards, (Windows, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.)

Must have excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Experience with Gulfstream and Bombardier aircraft a plus.

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities and Other (KSAOs)

Lead Aircraft MaintenanceTechnicians must be capable of performing inspection work assigned to their crews.

Ability to read, write, understand, and speak fluently in English.

Ability to qualify for required security clearances, access permits, and badges

Ability to meet the physical demands of the job

Airframe and Power Plant (A and P) Mechanic Certificate

Must participate and successfully complete Company in-house and external training as determined necessary by Family Dollar Aviation Management and/or Human Resources.

Must be able to secure/maintain Airport Security clearance requirements for the Charlotte/Douglas International Airport.

Assist DOM in part procurement and inventory.

Must be flexible with work schedule. Be available for weekend departures and “Pop-Up” maintenance issues.

Must possess a valid A&P license issued by the Federal Aviation Administration.

Must be able to obtain/possess a United States Passport.

Bachelor's Degree in the Aviation Management, Business Management, or related field of study.

Safety Management Systems (SMS) Familiarity.

2 Years' Experience in Aviation Shop environment or 14 CFR Part 145 operation.

High School Diploma or General Education Development (GED) Diploma required.

Two (2) years of line maintenance experience or Two (2) years of aircraft maintenance technician school.

Able to obtain and maintain Customs Clearance for airport security badge (as required for job duties.)

Display comprehensive knowledge in Avionics/Electronics.

Successful applicant must comply with federal contractor vaccine mandate requirements.

Good computer skills including knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word, and Adobe

Phenom, Praetor, Legacy experience required

Experience of direct involvement with FAR 135 and/or 145 policies and procedures

Working knowledge of FAA regulations

Experience with Apple and Microsoft products especially Outlook, Word, and Excel spreadsheets
