Retrieve and store insurance Explanation of benefits

Retrieve, document and distribute mail

Process insurance credit card payments prior to posting

Post payment to each dental office within 24-48 hours of retrieval

Properly add adjustment per insurance EOB

Add adequate ledger notes regarding patient balances

Incorporates knowledge of the developmental needs of each student in responses and planning for his or her residential experience.

At all times, demonstrates initiative to extend the students’ educational and social experiences in appropriate ways.

The staff member must meet ASL and/or Braille skill level requirements as delineated in the WVSDB Communication Policy for job classification.

At all times, demonstrate commitment to the quality of the residential program as a foundational component of the WVSDB experience.

Contributes proactively and collaboratively to the continuum of WVSDB’s educational and residential services.

Promotes student self-advocacy and independent living skills.

Strong organizational and time-management skills

Basic computer knowledge, and experience with Microsoft Office products including Word, Excel, and Outlook

Customer service oriented; attention to detail, accuracy, and data entry skills

Maintains up-to-date knowledge of the accounts being posted, especially schedules and payers

Basic accounting principles and medical billing experience preferred, but not required

Communication skills (both written and verbal).

Time management and the ability to multitask are essential

1-2 years of basic accounting principles and medical billing experience preferred but not required

Ability to read and understand Explanation of Benefits (EOB)

Must display sufficient written and oral communication skills

QMC is headquartered in Pittsburgh, PA. This position is 100% Remote.

Healthcare/medical payment posting experience is a non-negotiable requirement of this position.

Demonstrate good verbal and written communication skills.

Minimum of 2 years healthcare experience or accounting experience including cash posting and reconciliation.

Knowledge of manual and electronic payment posting

Knowledge of ERA’s, EFT’s, and EOB’s preferred

Knowledge of EDI is a plus

Adjust charge balances in accordance with Payer Explanation of Benefits (EOB) and payer contracts prior to posting

Performs all responsibilities in accordance with Teladoc Health’s Policies and Procedures

Knowledgeable of Medicare, Medicaid and Private Insurance billing and documentation guidelines

Next Gen and Altera experience preferred

Excellent problem-solving skills focused on identifying and implementing solutions

Exceptional organizational skills with a high level of attention to detail and the ability to multitask and handle competing priorities

Works zero-dollar Explanation of Benefits (EOBs) as assigned.
