Overview
As an X-Ray Tech you will be expected to position patients, shoot, x-rays and process them proficiently. Working with pediatric patients requires the applicant to be patient, kind, and be easily able to explain the process and positioning to the patient/parent.
Responsibilities
- Scanning/filing reports appropriately into the patient’s chart
- Helping our clinical staff with patient care such as taking vital signs and obtaining patient medical histories
- Correctly positioning patients for X-rays
- Obtaining radiology reports from an off-site radiology service
- Taking/processing X-rays
- Maintaining an Xray log
- Applicant must have a positive attitude, be able to work well with others and be able to maintain a professional work environment with coworkers.
- Correctly shielding patients/parents to reduce radiation exposure.
Qualifications
- 1 year of experience
- Current BMO, NCT or LMRT license
- Graduate from an accredited RT School or program
- High school diploma or equivalent
