X-Ray Aide Jobs

Our X-Ray Aide is responsible for providing support to the X-Ray Technologist. The X-Ray Aide prepares patients for X-Ray examinations by greeting, screening, changing, completing and reviewing paperwork as well as assisting the X-Ray Tech with patient transfers, positioning and X-Ray room cleanliness.

Essential Functions:

• Protects patient, self, and other staff from radiation hazards
• Maintains radiographic supplies and orders as necessary
• Complies with safety standards
• Prepares patients for radiologic procedures
• Performs other duties as assigned
• Cleans, maintains, and makes minor adjustments to radiographic equipment, including determining equipment repairs
• Maintains required records including patient records, daily logbooks, and monthly reports
• Follows established procedures for patient care and safety

• Wears protective equipment when appropriate.
• Respects patient rights, knock on patients’ doors before entering the patient room.
• Maintain OSHA and HIPAA regulations.
• Maintain and enforce X-Ray Safety Protocols.
• Verifies if name is correct on their records and orders.

Preferred Education and Experience

• Any combination of education, training, and experience that demonstrates the ability to perform the duties of the position.
• Discretion to work with confidential information
• Knowledge of HIPAA Regulations
• Experience with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel and PowerPoint)
• Pertinent job-related experience and Medical Terminology
• High School Graduate or equivalent

Physical Demands:

• While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to converse and hear.
• Requires coordination and manual dexterity sufficient to operate office equipment
• Requires normal (corrected) vision.
• Requires mobility, frequent walking, standing, and sitting, some bending, stooping and stretching and periodic lifting of up to 50 lbs.

Work Environment:

This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets.

Position Type and Expected Hours of Work:

This is a full-time position. Days and hours of work are typically Monday through Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m., but may vary depend on Company Schedule.
