Job Description
:
The X-ray Technologist / Medical Assistant performs x-ray exams as ordered by the providers, tracks reports read by the radiologists, is a liaison with the radiology group, and bills for procedures . This position is also responsible for the intake and preparation of patients, assisting of medical providers, performing waived tests, stocking, cleaning(per infection control protocols), scheduling appointments (internal/external), and performing office duties including release of information, faxing, scanning, copying, filing, referrals and referral tracking.
This position is term-limited, end date 6/30/2024
Job Qualifications
  • 2 years’ experience in an ambulatory setting is preferred.
  • Licensed x-ray technologist (or eligible) in the state of Rhode Island required.
  • Associate Degree or graduate of an approved school of Radiologic Technology required.
  • Registered technologist (AART) required.
Job Competencies
  • Basic computing skills required.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills necessary
  • Willingness and ability to cross train in other areas required
  • Possesses a willingness and ability to support a diverse and inclusive campus community.
