We are seeking talented and experienced writers to join our team for a luxury lifestyle magazine focusing on Orange County, CA, with an emphasis on the communities of Orange, Tustin, and Villa Park. As a publication writer, you will be responsible for creating engaging, high-quality content that aligns with our magazine's vision and appeals to our target audience. (Affluent homeowners.)
Responsibilities:
- Generate well-researched, compelling articles, features, and other written content for the magazine, covering various topics related to luxury lifestyle, local businesses, events, travel, fashion, dining, home and interior design, and more.
- Conduct interviews with influential individuals, experts, and local personalities to gather information and insights for your articles.
- Collaborate with the editorial team to brainstorm ideas, develop article concepts, and ensure content aligns with the magazine's style and tone.
- Meet assigned deadlines and manage your workload effectively to ensure timely delivery of articles.
- Conduct thorough research and fact-checking to maintain the accuracy and credibility of the information presented in your articles. Everything is local so your interviews are going to be important!
- Stay up to date with current trends, news, and developments related to luxury lifestyle, Orange County, and the local communities of Tustin and Villa Park.
- Adapt your writing style to match the magazine's tone and voice, ensuring consistency throughout the publication.
- Incorporate feedback from the editorial team to improve and refine your content.
- Attend occasional events, parties, or galas to provide event coverage and capture the essence of the luxury lifestyle scene in Orange County.
- Research locals in our community to connect with and to keep a relationship with for future articles, etc.
- Coordinate with photographers, editor, and publishers on any content as needed.

Qualifications:
- Someone with experience in journalism, communications, English, writing, blogging, or a related field (preferred).
- Proven experience as a writer for magazines, newspapers, or online publications, with a strong portfolio of published articles.
- Excellent writing and editing skills, with a keen eye for detail and a strong command of grammar and vocabulary.
- Knowledge of luxury lifestyle topics, Orange County, and the local communities of Orange, Tustin and Villa Park.
- Ability to conduct interviews, research, and fact-checking to produce accurate and reliable content.
- Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
- Adaptability and versatility to cover various topics and writing styles.
- Familiarity with digital content creation, SEO principles, and social media platforms is a plus.
- Passion for writing, storytelling, and creating engaging content.

This is unpaid but is an opportunity for exposure if you are someone who is in Northern Orange County and wants to do publications in a high volume local luxury lifestyle magazine.
We are looking for someone (preferably) in the Tustin, Orange or Villa park area.
