Job Description

As the Workforce Development, you will be responsible for developing and managing partnerships with community, governmental, educational, and military/veteran organizations with a focus on creating sustainable talent pipelines for industrial/manufacturing direct labor and engineering candidates.


To be successful in this role, you would need strong communication, research, and analytical skills, as well as a deep understanding of economic development, workforce development issues and funding strategies. You would also need to be comfortable working independently and as part of a team and have a track record of successfully creating targeted talent pipelines.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Establishing and maintaining relationships with universities, colleges, and other educational institutions to create a pipeline of entry-level talent.
  • Reporting and compliance: You would be responsible for ensuring that Chromalloy meets all reporting and compliance requirements and deadlines for program participation.
  • Collaborating with Functional leaders and other internal and external stakeholders to ensure early-career programs are aligned with Chromalloy’s goals and objectives.
  • Partnering with managers and department leaders to identify the talent needs of the organization and create plans to meet those needs through early-career hiring and development programs.
  • Building & managing relationships: You would cultivate relationships with key stakeholders, including funders, community leaders, and government officials, to build support for Chromalloy’s workforce development initiatives.
  • Researching partnership opportunities: You would identify potential partnership sources, including government, educational, and private foundation programs.


Qualifications:

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and meet deadlines.
  • Demonstrated success in developing and managing partnerships with educational institutions, community leaders, government bodies.
  • Public speaking skills
  • Knowledge of the Aerospace, Aviation and MRO industries is preferred
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and relationship-building skills.
  • Knowledge of early-career talent development programs, including mentoring, training, and career development initiatives, preferred.
  • 7+ years of experience in workforce development, talent acquisition, and/or human resources, preferably with a focus in manufacturing/industrial industry and building diverse workforces.
  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Flexibility to travel to educational and community locations as needed (~25% travel)
