Position Description
HGL is seeking a Word Processor II in our Denver, CO office, although there is the potential for remote work for the right candidate. We are looking for a candidate with a strong knowledge of Microsoft Office 365 applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and SharePoint) as well as Adobe Acrobat. The candidate will be responsible for word processing of project deliverables, which include large reports containing graphics and tables. The candidate should possess an eye for design and page layout as well as have experience proofreading documents for consistency, spelling, grammar, and punctuation.

This position's initial salary range is $56,897-$79,656/year. The final salary can be impacted by various factors including, but not limited to, contractual requirements, geographic location, job-related education, training, experience, and skills. HGL provides a comprehensive benefits package that includes healthcare, retirement plan, insurance programs, paid and unpaid leave programs, holiday pay, tuition reimbursement, discretionary annual profit-sharing bonus, and flexible scheduling. - Generating tables of contents and lists of tables, figures, and appendices.
- Inserting footnotes, endnotes, and references.
- Adding headers, footers, and page numbers to PDF files.
- Bookmarking and linking PDFs files.
- Importing figures, photographs, and spreadsheets.
- Formatting large Microsoft Excel spreadsheets for proper viewing/printing.
- Converting Microsoft Word, Excel, and other files into PDF documents and compiling into final deliverable.
- Creating and editing report headers and footers.
- Formatting large reports using Microsoft Word styles.
- Adding line numbering.
WHAT YOU NEED TO BE SUCCESSFUL
The ideal candidate will need the following as a foundation for success in this role:
- Intermediate level in Adobe Acrobat.
- Intermediate to advanced level in Microsoft Office 365 Applications (Word, Excel, Outlook, and SharePoint).
- Ability to prioritize multiple tasks and adhere to deadlines.
- Work as an individual contributor in a team-based environment.
- Maintain confidentiality and discretion.
- High school diploma.
- Maintain a reasonably high degree of speed and accuracy with typing and formatting.
- Follow directions carefully.
- Work with teams across multiple time zones.
WHAT YOU NEED TO STAND OUT
- Word Processing Certification.
- Bachelor's Degree.
- Adobe InDesign.
- Experience with 508 Compliance.
