Windows Engineer Jobs

Overview:

We are on the hunt for a skilled engineer who is well-versed in Windows software development and systems administration to join our dynamic Platform Engineering team. This is a hands-on, technical position within a cross-functional engineering team that is responsible for our core technology infrastructure in a vibrant, inclusive, and collaborative work environment.

In the Platform Engineering team, you will:

• Design and maintain our company's operating systems, authentication systems, databases, and virtualization infrastructure.

• Manage core network services, messaging, and endpoints on both Windows and Linux in both internal and external environments.

• Take responsibility for the design, implementation, and integration of infrastructure systems, with a primary—but not exclusive—focus on Windows-based systems.

Requirements:

• Applicants should have a degree in computer science (or another technical discipline) or equivalent work experience.

• Significant experience with Windows software development and systems automation is necessary. Proficiency in C# or PowerShell is preferred; familiarity with Python and Rust is advantageous.

• A deep understanding of the Windows platform and related technologies (such as Active Directory and Failover Clustering) is required. Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills, along with familiarity with a variety of tracing tools (like WireShark, ETW, and ProcMon), are also needed. Experience with common Windows Server applications and management tools (such as Exchange, SQL, SCCM, Hyper-V, and ADFS) is preferred.

• A working understanding of network protocols, Linux, and information security concepts is required. Experience integrating systems across on-premises and cloud-based environments (like Azure, AWS, and GCP) and working with containers on Windows and Linux is preferred.

• Exceptional communication skills are essential, as the role involves extensive interaction with various departments within the firm.
