Job Description
Wholesale Title Clerk
Job Summary
We are looking for a Wholesale Title Clerk to provide accounting, administrative and clerical services. Wholesale Title Clerk duties include ensuring accuracy of auditing and making payments. We also need a professional who is willing to work cross-departmentally to ensure the entire business runs as smoothly as possible. This position is fast-paced and requires excellent communication skills to work with all departments.
Responsibilities:
  • Charge units CPO fees;
  • Post all cash and check receipts daily;
  • Reconcile and post all credit card transactions for new and used cars;
  • Post and reimburse all petty cash receipts with managers’ authorization;
  • Issue checks to purchase vehicles as requested from inventory managers;
  • Coordinate stocking in used vehicles with Used Vehicles Inventory Managers;
  • Floor wholesale and trade units when purchased, and verify accuracy of title work;
  • Check schedule 19 every Wednesday for any additional flooring needed or pay off;
  • Pay off lease buy outs and excess charges;
  • Post sold wholesale deals as needed and auction sales every Friday;
  • Prepare auction titles every Monday for delivery no later than Tuesday morning;
  • Get titles from banks and customers on trades;
  • Train and provide backup to the used car title clerk;
  • Diligently follow-up on all outstanding titles over 30 days;
  • Clean schedule 17 by the 20th of each month and go over with your supervisor;
  • Report weekly to your supervisor of any missing titles over 30 days;
Required
  • High school diploma/GED
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to new challenges
  • Quickly learn computer programs
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Organization, data entry skills, verbal communication, team player
Preferred
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or related field
  • Familiarity with Dealertrack
  • Intermediate skill level in Excel
