The role:
Our fleet services team is looking for an experienced supervisor to lead the western Oregon Field Technician program. If you have heavy equipment repair experience and know how to effectively lead a geographically dispersed team of hard working individuals, apply today!

A day in the life:
  • Approve all repairs and ensure they are completed in an efficient manner
  • To request a copy of the position description, which includes all duties and working conditions, please email [email protected].
  • Ensure all purchasing activities are in compliance with ODOT and Department of Administrative Services policies.
  • Review completed work orders for accuracy.
  • Provide leadership, oversight, establish priorities and guidance for staff in western Oregon repair program.
  • Generate work orders based on customer requests.
  • Resolve disciplinary issues and provide support to staff.
  • Travel is required throughout the state and may require irregular hours and overnight travel.
  • Perform extensive, proactive outreach, engagement and coaching, with our team of heavy equipment technicians.
  • Must be able to work effectively while remote (away from the office) proficient utilization of lap tops, cellular devices and other remote office hardware and software.
  • Perform extensive, proactive customer outreach and engagement, resolve any customer complaints.
  • Work is often performed in/around heavy equipment with exposure to hazardous materials such as dust, fumes and herbicides. Personal protective equipment is required.
  • Serve as contact for vendor warranty questions or issues.
  • Assess training needs of staff, build and implement training plans..

What we need:
Six (6) years of experience in the repair, modification, and adjustment of heavy equipment or automobiles
AND
two (2) years of lead work or supervisory experience.
Driving is an essential function of this position. You must have a valid driver license and an acceptable driving record. We will conduct pre-employment driving records checks on our final candidate(s). Your license does not have to be issued in Oregon to be considered.
