As a Water Treatment Engineer in Bellevue, Washington you will work with a core group of engineers and designers on studies, designs, and field assignments for clients across the pacific northwest region. Your work will focus on drinking water treatment systems but may include work on wastewater, stormwater, and conveyance projects. You will work collaboratively with our team to complete the following:

  • Technical report writing
  • Treatment evaluations and selection of the best treatment approach to solve a client’s challenges
  • Construction services support
  • Data analysis and computer modeling
  • Planning and designing full-scale treatment systems and treatment plant improvements for construction
  • Design and implementation of pilot scale treatment systems

You will also have the opportunity to grow professionally through your participation with teams delivering challenging projects while serving and developing clients across the United States and internationally. Jacobs has a strong technical drinking water treatment background, and you will have the opportunity to connect to and work with our technical experts across the company.

Here’s What You’ll Need:
  • Proficient skills with MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Excellent oral and written communications, self-motivation, team-oriented work practices, strong data analysis skills, technical problem-solving ability, organizational skills, and the ability to effectively multi-task in a fast-paced environment
  • Bachelor’s degree in civil, environmental, chemical, or related engineering discipline
  • Educational emphasis and a strong interest in drinking water treatment system design and operation

Ideally, here’s what you’ll also have:

  • Hydraulic modeling skills (e.g. Fathom)
  • Wet chemistry laboratory skills
  • A GPA of at least 3.0
  • Master’s degree in civil, environmental, or related engineering discipline
  • Completed internship in drinking water treatment-related field
  • Engineer in Training (EIT) certificate
  • Construction or facility operations experience

Typical salary range for this position is $73,600 to $128,800 and is commensurate with experience relative to the position.
