Water Main/Isolation Valve Installation

Demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand and walk to a significant degree; use hands to operate tools or feel, and talk or hear. The employee is frequently required to pull, push, kneel, bend, squat, crawl, and twist. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 75 pounds. Location: Corpus Christi Texas. Applicant must have means of transportation.

• Proven experience in disinfection and leak testing in accordance with AWWA standard. Association (AWWA) C651 Disinfecting Water Mains
• Proven experience in installing/replacing new permanent Isolation Valves and associated PVC/CPVC/HPDE piping. Various sizes of valves consisting of Non-Rising Bronze Stem Epoxy Coated Ductile Iron Gate Valves (or Equivalent); as well as the associated Valve Boxes and Valve Stem Pipe Assemblies in accordance the requirements of applicable American Water Works Association (AWWA) standard.
• Knowledge of or ability to learn and apply the proper methods, tools, materials and equipment used for the repair and maintenance of water distribution
• ·Have knowledge of proper sequence of activities to avoid production slow down and errors
• ·Ensure crew’s safety
• ·Execute pipe work in accordance with plans and specifications

Job Type: CONTRACT 4-10 months

(3) positions available. Pay dependent on experience and qualifications Level I,II,III

Pay: $26- $37 per hour
