We’re looking for a Warehouse Manager to join our team. This role will be based in Portland.


The Warehouse Manager will be responsible for the following:


Inventory Management


  • Plan, organize and lead physical inventory counts.
  • Organize and manage the warehouse, creating clear systems to track and manage all inventory parts. Arrange the warehouse in a logical way to reduce travel, touches and labor movement.
  • Maintains inventory levels as required by company inventory objectives.
  • Ability to perform root cause and reconciliation from data analysis after counts have been completed.
  • Manage cycle counts of product inventories on a regular basis.
  • Audit and verify all warehouse processes, follow up with findings and action plans accordingly.
  • Performs counts and ensures all inventory is accounted for and reported in accordance with company policy.
  • Assess inventory output on a daily, weekly, or monthly basis to identify trends. Ability to perform analysis over inventory health, accuracy, scrap, usage, and trends.
  • Manage all co-manufactured materials, receipt, inventory accounting and management in the system.
  • Develop, design, and implement operating strategies, plans, policies, and procedures regarding inventory control for all raw materials and components.
  • Coordinate internal logistics for finished goods from the production floor to the distribution center. Manage product clearance, holding, and inventory management during the interim period prior to receipt by the distribution center.


Shipping and Receiving


  • Manage all outbound shipping of raw materials,components and formulations to co-manactures. Ensure proper system in place for tracking materials at co-manufacturers and depletions occur.
  • Direct outbound shipping of all private label production that does not flow through our distribution center.
  • Manage the receipt of all raw materials, components, and goods from co-manufacturers.
  • Manage the process to manage receipt of materials from co-manatuructres, and ensure proper clearance and system visibility prior to sending to production or distribution center.


Kitting


  • Organize and palletize packaging component kits for packaging team
  • Ensure all materials used in production are properly depleted from inventory and excess materials that are not consumed are properly added back into inventory.
  • Organize, assemble, palletize and manage inventory raw material kits to be used for production and manage inventory of materials not consumed within production runs


Troubleshooting


  • Investigative nature to identify potential issues that would negatively affect the inventory, production and distribution processes.
  • Investigate and correct discrepancies in reported quantities and locations of inventory
  • Perform processes and systems testing and tracks performance by area to locate and solve problems in data integrity, productivity and efficiency.


Supervision/Leadership


  • Superior planning, organizational and management acumen with ability to multi-task.
  • Train employees in asset inventory management, as needed.
  • Excellent leadership, communication and interpersonal skills with ability to work collaboratively and maintain productive relationships with staff and external sources.
  • Sound understanding and application of safety rules and regulations. Ensures all employees are trained in safety protocol
  • Detail oriented with advanced mathematical skills.
  • Manage and coordinate the activities of all staff engaged in inventory control and inventory record accuracy.


Requirements


  • 5+ years experience operating warehousing equipment - forklift, order-order pickers, straddle stackers.
  • 5+ years in an inventory, warehousing or production leadership role with direct reports.
  • Sound understanding and application of safety rules and regulations
  • Excellent leadership, communication and interpersonal skills with ability to work collaboratively with team-members.
  • Strong Excel/Google Sheets background with the ability to present data to peers, managers, and executives.
  • Strong understanding of Inventory KPIs (shrink, scrap, variance, cycle counts) with the ability to drive corrective actions to improve metrics.
  • Proficient at operating warehousing and inventory management systems (data-entry, RF Scanners, report generation)
  • Strong Continuous Improvement background with the ability to define, lead, and implement process improvements.
