Responsibilities

This Warehouse Manager position contributes to the success of a warehouse or manufacturing location for PepsiCo. The Warehouse Manager coordinates the receiving, shipping, and material handling responsibilities in the warehouse by designing and developing product movement and storage systems, improving operations, and supporting the front line staff. Responsibilities include cost efficiency, continuous improvement on processes, service, and safety for an entire business unit across all shifts. This individual is responsible for managing numerous shifts in either a union or non-union environment and developing a team of supervisors.
Major Tasks, Accountabilities and Key Responsibilities:
  • Develops and implements warehouse operations system improvements by leading continuous improvement projects as assigned and by analyzing process work flow, manning and space requirements, and equipment layout.
  • Troubleshoots all receiving and shipping complaints to find the cause, help resolve the issue, and prevent reoccurrence.
  • This role requires lifting up to 40 lbs. occasionally
  • This role may require off-shift and weekend work
  • Achieves operational objectives by contributing warehouse operations information and recommendations to strategic plans
  • Delivers effective change leadership while driving business changes and minimizing people impact
  • Develops warehouse operations systems by determining product handling and storage requirements.
  • Develops team to solve day-to-day operational issues and reach short- and long-term performance goals
  • This role may operate forklift and manufacturing equipment occasionally
  • Maintain quality standards of finished product
  • Administer policies and procedures
  • This role requires occasional work in poor weather conditions, including heat, cold, rain, or snow.
  • Motivates the team members to achieve plan goals
  • Reviews and prepares any action plans while ensuring productivity, quality and customer service standards are met
  • Maintains a safe and healthy work environment by establishing, following, and enforcing standards and procedures and complying with legal regulations.
  • This role requires regular presence on the plant floor
  • Develops processes for receiving product, equipment utilization, inventory management, gate processes (check in/out), and shipping.
  • Ensures smooth delivery of product for the Sales organization.
  • Communicates and collaborates cross-functionally to assist team to solve operational issues
  • Meets financial objectives by forecasting requirements, preparing an annual budget, scheduling expenditures, analyzing variances, and initiating corrective actions.
  • This role may require some travel (less than 5%)
  • Regular and predictable attendance at the work site
  • Builds people capability through effective employee relations, hiring, training, and communication for front-line hourly and salaried personnel
Compensation and Benefits:
  • The expected compensation range for this position is between $81,000 - $ 135,600 based on a full-time schedule
  • Bonus based on performance and eligibility; target payout is 12% of annual salary paid out annually
  • Location, confirmed job-related skills and experience will be considered in setting actual starting salary
  • Paid time off subject to eligibility, including paid parental leave, vacation, sick, and bereavement

Qualifications

1.Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience required. Preferably in engineering, business, operations management, or similar fieldLean Six Sigma Experience preferred, demonstrated by successful completion of a major improvement project.A minimum of 5 years of operations/logistics or supply chain experience preferredA minimum of 2 years of supervisory experience preferredStrong knowledge of inventory management systemsForklift certification a plusExperience with continuous improvement (i.e. Lean Six Sigma certification, TPM, lean manufacturing, etc)Proficient in Microsoft Suite applicationsAbility to give and receive constructive feedbackAbility to lead a team-based approach to decision makingDemonstrated ability to work in a results-oriented, challenging environmentStrong leadership skills with the ability to get results through mentoring othersEffective coaching, facilitation, presentation, and team building skillsThis position is limited to persons with indefinite right to work in the United States
