Join the LEGO® Brand Retail team as an Area Manager and ensure that the LEGO Brand, Vision, and Values are exemplified in all store operations and guest interactions. You will empower the team around you to drive sales while providing a signature experience for every guest.

Build an environment where creativity and imagination define the future of play and strive for outstanding results in both guest experience and sales performance in your home store and the 2-4 additional stores in your market.

Core Responsibilities

  • Communicate, implement, and follow-up on all operational directives, marketing, visual, and merchandising initiatives.
  • Can also be used for the Store Manager of the largest and/or most sophisticated store locations.
  • Typically oversees the operation of a retail stores and assisting in the oversight of 2-3 other stores in order to achieve revenue and customer service goals.
  • Develop and nurture a strong team and support continued development as well as identifying performance opportunities and coach for improvement.
  • Establish and maintain partnerships with key partners such as corporate, landlord, etc
  • Demonstrate collaboration by working effectively with your peers, partners and others to drive big-picture business performance and create a positive, safe, and coordinated working environment.
  • Demonstrate results orientation by meeting and exceeding Key Performance Indicators, overcoming obstacles and uncertainty while supervising business processes. Providing the space to maintain outstanding merchandising and cleanliness standards and improving efficiency and profit by maintaining sound operational practices.
  • And performance management, inspire your team to deliver signature experiences, and ensure continuous learning by providing continuous product knowledge and service training.
  • Lead your team to continued success by recruiting and developing a highly productive and collaborative team, communicate through active mentor
  • Be a role model for guest experience by ensuring the execution of our service model, aiming to complete all monthly mystery shops, enhancing repeat business by creating NPS promoters, inspiring and coaching sales associates to consistently deliver exceptional branded experiences.

Do you have what it takes to lead a team who can inspire and develop the builders of tomorrow?

  • Loss prevention and cash management
  • Physical specifications: Constant moving, talking, hearing, reaching, grabbing and standing for at least two consecutive hours. May occasionally involve stooping, kneeling, crouching, and climbing ladders. Vision abilities include close vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus. Involves lifting at least 30 lbs.
  • Over five years of management experience in a high-volume retail environment; flagship experience is a plus with territory oversight
  • Point of Sale systems
  • Ability to seek process improvement, identify inefficiencies and implement changes
  • Scheduling and payroll management
  • Effective organizational, verbal and written communication skills
  • Experience working with media representing the LEGO brand
  • Deep understanding of metrics and data analysis
  • Experience with the following:
  • Recruitment, selection, coaching and training
  • Demonstrated computer proficiency
  • Experience with heavy tourism and international guests
  • Space management and visual merchandising expertise
  • Performance management and conflict resolution skills
