Job Description

The Site Production Manager will report directly to the Senior Production Manager and will be responsible for all production-related activities relevant to the respective production facility to which they are assigned. The site manager will be responsible for managing all aspects of site activities, inclusive of team management, production, and facility upkeep. The site manager will be responsible for managing their employees at their site, including hiring, employee coaching and career development, establishing employee schedules, production schedules, submitting raw material requests, conducting inventory counts, ensuring proper storage and documentation relevant to raw materials, WIP, and finished products, and coordinating shuttle request logistics. The site manager will ensure that production is organized, efficient, and executed safely.


Responsibilities and Duties


  • Oversees and assists contractors with site projects, ensuring the safety, quality and cleanliness of work performed.
  • Interfaces with Quality, Shipping and Inventory Departments to ensure all goals are met, corrective actions are implemented, and site projects are completed in a timely manner.
  • Develops and maintains SOP’s, QMS initiatives and ensures GMP adherence throughout the site.
  • Conducts weekly inventory and resolves equipment, supply and tool shortages.
  • Maintains site safety standards at all times.
  • Maintains SOP and GMP adherence throughout the shop floor.
  • Responsible for identifying and leading Continuous Improvement strategies throughout the shop floor and assisting with the development of best-practices.
  • Oversees and assists contractors with site projects, ensuring the safety, quality and cleanliness of work performed.
  • Adheres to budget, tracks expenditures and helps spearhead and implement cost-savings initiatives.
  • Manage production, formulation and sanitation teams to hit production targets. Navigate challenges and day to day issues for the production team.
  • Interfaces with Quality, Maintenance, Shipping and Inventory Departments to ensure all goals are met, corrective actions are implemented, and projects are completed in a timely manner.
  • Performs daily site inspections, ensures preventative maintenance programs are sustained and equipment is in proper working condition.
  • Coordinates with Senior Production Manager and production team to set daily, weekly, and monthly formulation and production schedule.
  • Responsible for raw material requests from Inventory Warehouse in order to maintain inputs required for production
  • Responsible for overseeing daily production and updating relevant inventory spreadsheets


Requirements


  • Ability to lead by example and facilitate collaboration with all team Members.
  • A demonstrated knowledge of organizational effectiveness and operations management and a track record of achieving results against a comprehensive set of KPIs.
  • Ability to effectively present information to all levels of the company; plant floor to executive leadership.
  • Ability to work and collaborate with cross functional teams including sales, marketing, customer service, supply chain and research and development.
  • Leadership background managing teams of 5 or more.
  • Proven ability to identify and spearhead issue resolution on production bottlenecks.
  • Familiar with assembly-line dashboards and/or MRP/MRP2 software.
  • Ability to analyze downtime and financial variance trends, identifying actions to deliver expected performance.
  • Bachelor’s degree (B.S.) from four-year college or university, preferably a B.S. in Food Science, Engineering or Management, or 5+ years of food manufacturing or dietary supplement manufacturing experience.
  • Proficient with Google Suite products and Microsoft Office applications including Google Sheets and Excel. ERP/MRP experience preferred.
  • Ideal candidate would be familiar with managing Production and Manufacturing Process Flows, 5S/6S Lean Manufacturing, GMP, HAACP, ISO or in-house Quality Control Systems, as well as OSHA Guidelines.
  • Excellent problem solving and reasoning skills required.
  • High attention to detail, ability to multi-task and demonstrated ability to resolve complex problems and ensure critical deadlines are met.
  • Minimum two years production background in one or more of the following: Beverage/Brewing Industry, or Industrial Food-Processing.
  • Working knowledge of budgets, forecasting and metrics.
