The Warehouse / Move Lead Driver / Installer Technician is responsible for supporting management of warehouse, manage company moves/installations materials, furniture, fixtures and equipment used throughout the system and for operation & maintenance projects. Support assembly/disassembly and minor repairs of system furniture. Ensure high standards of customer service at all times and professional at all times.
SPECIFIC FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Inventory management
  • Other duties and overtime as assigned.
  • Perform assembly/disassembly and minor repairs of system furniture.
  • Controls inventory levels by conducting physical counts; reconciling with data storage system.
  • Walk-throughs of a completed project and provides a punch list to the client.
  • Training of supplemental staff when required.
  • Support facility management with employee moves.
  • Pick up and deliver materials/furniture for remodeling, and miscellaneous jobs at various Southern Company locations.
  • Maintains receiving, warehousing, and distribution operations by initiating, coordinating, and enforcing programs, operational, and personnel policies and procedures.
  • Safeguards warehouse operations and contents by establishing and monitoring security procedures and protocols.
  • Assist with Invoice creating/reconciliation
  • Monitors and maintains warehouse condition.
REQUIRED SKILLS, EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Demonstrated willingness and ability to work independently and productively and to accept direction.
  • Ability to Drive/Operate company vehicles to and from various properties.
  • Ability to manage processes.
  • Hazcom training
  • Outstanding customer service skills.
  • Must possess basic hand and power tools and the knowledge to use them.
  • Responsible, Dependable and Detail Oriented
  • Prior experience in warehousing and move management environment required.
  • Highly organized and excellent record keeping abilities.
  • OSHA Certified forklift operator
  • Self-starter, motivated, team player with the ability to prioritize work.
  • Ability to operate material handling equipment.
  • High school diploma or equivalent level of education.
  • Successfully complete and maintain safety training which includes but not limited to:
    • OSHA Certified forklift operator
    • Hazcom training
    • Ability to read/interpret construction document take-offs
  • Possess and Maintain:
    • Clean driving record void of any DUI or felony offenses
    • Vehicle liability insurance
  • Clean driving record void of any DUI or felony offenses
  • Inventory Control: Organized and data entry skills (Reporting, analyzing information, dealing with complexity, deadline-oriented, safety focused, surveillance, and solid judgment).
  • Ability to read/interpret construction document take-offs
  • Ability to meet physical requirements relating to the job: stooping, standing, climbing, and frequent lifting of a minimum of 75 pounds.
  • Vehicle liability insurance
