Job Description

VP of Workforce Management is the senior most subject matter expert and strategy leader for WFM responsible for leading the Compass Group Workforce Strategy function, providing vision, and developing solutions. Specifically, the VP leads the team responsible for all strategy and program development within WFM. The VP will also partner with other leaders to oversee WFM governance while ensuring alignment and integration between programs and strategy. The VP will foster a culture of high performance, ongoing talent development, accountability for professional development, collaboration, and agile work in the WFM program.



Key Responsibilities

  • Lead organizational thought leadership related to WFM, determining ways to integrate industry best practice with organizational need and culture
  • Partner with appropriate technology resources to develop the WFM technology strategy
  • Officer level Workforce Strategy presentations
  • Ensure integration and alignment between WFM strategies and programs through collaboration with HR, Legal, IT, MySTAFF and business WFM leadership
  • Ensure integration and alignment between WFM strategies and programs within the WFM and overarching business goals, plans and needs
  • Lead organization and activities for all programs within the WFM function
  • Understand and translate the WFM strategy into Workforce Strategy initiatives
  • Serve as the organization's chief champion and subject matter expert related to WFM
  • Oversee, supervise, coach and mentor a team of WFM professionals responsible for various WFM areas
  • Define and manage resourcing plans to appropriately access talent across the organization required to develop WFM strategies and programs related to WFM
  • Partner with sector leadership in designing WFM programs and strategy that are supportive of business needs
  • Leverage extensive external network of industry peers to access industry best practices related to WFM
  • Lead team responsible for defining strategy, operational metrics, programs and policies for organization wide WFM programs


Knowledge and Skills

  • People leadership skills including mentoring, technical training and day-to-day management
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills, including the ability to organize and present information concisely to executive leaders
  • Excellent project, leadership, facilitation and interpersonal skills
  • Extensive expertise in the functions related to the WFM
  • Strong business acumen
  • Strong problem-solving skills/ logical and analytical thinker
  • Ability to deal with ambiguity in a fast-paced environment while managing multiple competing priorities


Qualifications

  • Experience managing teams of resources
  • Extensive experience in development and implementation of programs from strategy through execution
  • Time and Attendance implementation experience
  • Experience with business intelligence, data analysis and statistical software packages
  • Undergraduate degree and advance degree preferred
  • Experience partnering with senior leaders to reach strategic business goals
  • Minimum 15 years combined general business experience and WFM experience
