Job Description

Our Aerospace client are seeking an experienced Vice President of Sales & Marketing to provide overall leadership to their multi-functional team. You will be responsible for driving sales and marketing activities, developing strategies, and delivering on defined targets. As a high-level negotiator and sales engineer, you will play a key role in business development and product planning. This position offers an opportunity to lead and mentor a talented team while contributing to the company's growth.


Responsibilities:

  • Oversee business development pipeline and improve conversion rates.
  • Facilitate growth and product development strategies, setting a competitive standard.
  • Provide leadership focused on accountability, growth, and career development.
  • Lead, develop, and manage the Sales Team to achieve sales targets.
  • Establish a reputation for integrity, competitive leadership, and sustained performance.
  • Act as a key member of the senior management team, contributing to company objectives.
  • Establish performance metrics and analyze data to drive effective marketing strategies.
  • Foster a culture of innovation, challenging the status quo.
  • Enhance the company's brand through high-quality proposals and marketing materials.
  • Collaborate with engineering and operations for business proposals and strategies.
  • Conduct market research and competitive analyses to identify potential markets and products.
  • Develop Business Unit Managers and Teams to drive value creation.
  • Travel as needed (approximately 25-50%).
  • Build and maintain relationships with key customers and evaluate business opportunities.


Qualifications:

  • Strong data-driven business sense and proficiency in MS Office.
  • Minimum of 15 years of professional experience, with 5+ years managing sales teams.
  • Experience in technical proposals, business solutions, and contract negotiations.
  • Proven track record in sales and marketing program development and winning proposals.
  • Aerospace industry experience required.
  • 4-year college degree (engineering or business degree preferred).
  • Ability to work with ITAR products and related data.
  • MBA preferred.
