The role:

We're working with a top solar developer / owner / operator on the East Coast with a busy upcoming project pipeline! They're looking for Vice President of Operations to lead the company through their next phase of growth across the Northeast.

Responsibilities:

As Vice President of Operations you will provide strategic leadership for team members to achieve set performance objectives. The role is responsible for project management, client development, sales, installation, safety, quality, regulatory, and service to customers, and cost.

Our ideal candidate will have extensive knowledge and experience in the development, engineering, procurement and construction management of multifaceted renewable energy projects and a proven ability to lead, manage, and coach a team of multi-discipline professionals.

• Manage the development, planning, and execution of operational Commercial-scale renewable energy projects from mid-stage development through engineering, procurement, and construction according to design requirements and within established timeframe and budget.
• Drive enforcement of safety protocols by the project staff.
• Develop and oversee field operation and engineering processes and procedures.
• Lead in the development of high-performance teams through supervision, training, coaching, and mentoring. Ensure regular feedback is shared with staff including timely completion of employee performance appraisals.
• Drive competencies to team on requirements for insurance, labor relations, and employee relations.

Essential Skills/Experience:

• 15+ years working with solar energy
• Construction and/or engineering degrees preferred
• 10 years experience leading construction and project management within a commercial solar company
