Job Location: Eligible for remote work in California, Colorado, Georgia, Idaho, Kentucky, Massachusetts, Minnesota, New Hampshire, New Mexico, Ohio, Oregon, Tennessee, Texas, Utah, Washington or Wyoming.


Job Compensation: $170-230k

Job Overview (What You’ll Do):


Cotopaxi is seeking a highly experienced and strategic Vice President of Global Wholesale to lead and drive growth in our wholesale business worldwide. This role requires a deep understanding of wholesale operations, strong leadership skills, and the ability to develop and execute strategic initiatives to expand our customer base and increase revenue. The role will also oversee our International sales channel and distributor relationships.


Job Responsibilities (How You’ll Do It):


  • Oversee the day-to-day operations of the wholesale and international distributor businesses, including managing the sales team and setting sales targets.
  • Monitor market trends and identify new opportunities for growth in existing and new markets.
  • Develop and implement a global wholesale and international distributor strategy aligned with the company's overall business objectives.
  • Manage the budget for the wholesale and international distributor businesses and optimize spending to maximize return on investment.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant laws and regulations governing the wholesale business.
  • Lead and inspire a high-performing team, including hiring, training, and providing ongoing feedback and support.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product development, marketing, and operations, to ensure seamless execution of wholesale initiatives.
  • Analyze market trends and competitor activity to identify opportunities for growth and improvement.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with key customers and partners.
  • Drive revenue growth through the development of new customer relationships and the expansion of existing ones.
  • Represent the company at trade shows and industry events.


The Ideal Candidate (What You Need to Succeed):


  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and make informed business decisions.
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to inspire and motivate teams.
  • Willingness to travel as required to meet with customers and partners.
  • Bachelor's Degree in Business Admin/Marketing or a related field; MBA preferred.
  • 10+ years of experience in wholesale sales and operations, in the outdoor apparel and equipment industry, with a focus on global markets.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with multiple priorities and stakeholders.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build strong relationships with customers, partners, and cross-functional teams.
  • Proven track record of driving revenue growth (over $50m) and expanding customer base in a wholesale business.
  • Strategic thinker with the ability to develop and execute complex initiatives.

The salary range for this position is $170-230k and will be based on the experience that you bring to the table.
