Job Description

VP, Marketing - Studio Marketing International

In this critically important senior leadership role, you’ll be part of the dynamic Walt Disney Studios’ Marketing team, bringing to life the strategic vision for all content released Internationally across all of our film brands—Disney Live Action, Marvel Studios, Lucasfilm, 20th Century Studios, Searchlight, Disney Animation Studios and Pixar Studios released in theaters, Disney+, and STAR. This executive will need to have strong marketing experience and great relationship-building skills, balanced with the pragmatism, executional know-how, and local experience and insights needed to launch successful theatrical and streaming content marketing campaigns Internationally.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Review customized local media campaigns with an expertise in local media landscape.
  • Represent and pitch films to internal partners and help drive overall campaign and business objectives.
  • Partner closely with research and media teams across the markets to develop strategic approach, planning, and oversight of local campaigns on behalf of Burbank leadership.
  • Translate domestic campaign strategies and plans into communications and proposals that assist in building world-class film campaigns.
  • Work closely with regional leadership (EMEA, LATAM, & APAC) to set priorities and execute high level project planning.
  • Work with Studio Marketing Strategy leaders to identify local market strategies and tactics throughout the lifecycle of each campaign.
  • Develop and implement marketing campaign milestones using a deep understanding of the competitive landscape, market needs, and local film campaign initiatives.
  • Drive marketing campaigns across all brands (Disney Live Action, Lucasfilm, Marvel Studios, Disney Animation, Searchlight and Pixar Studios) for theatrical, Disney+, and STAR releases globally.
  • Identify and leverage opportunities for synergy, partnerships, and promotions, to bring best-in-class ideas across the regional teams.
  • Develop research planning and development as needed for overall campaign positioning and ongoing creative refinement.
  • Key leader in charge of communication to senior leadership and key stakeholders (production heads, filmmakers) in Burbank outlining local campaign plans and tactics.
  • Integrate strategic planning of all key timelines and communication schedules.
  • Oversee International marketing budget.
  • Supervise a team of Burbank employees that function across brand/title marketing.
  • Integrate closely with the global creative team to ensure campaign cohesion.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Flexible and adaptable social skills to navigate relationships with talent, studio executives and your team
  • Ability to travel as needed
  • Extensive direct knowledge of media planning and marketing strategic approach required for content releases
  • 15+ years of marketing experience
  • Fluency in marketing research, insights and analytics; marketing budget management
  • Willingness to engage with partners in time-zones around the globe

The hiring range for this position in California is $204,597.00 - $264,772.00 per year. The base pay actually offered will take into account internal equity and also may vary depending on the candidate’s geographic region, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors. A bonus and/or long-term incentive units may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to the full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the level and position offered.
