Education & Experience Required

• Proven expertise in Cloud transformation.
• Ten or more years managing technology professionals
• Bachelor's Degree In Computer Science, Business Administration or related field
• Fifteen or more years of professional job-related information technology experience

Or an equivalent combination of education and experience

Principal Duties & Responsibilities

• Ensure excellent internal and external customer delivery, drive the adoption of new technology to support an unparalleled customer experience, and deliver business value.
• Control and enhance all technical operations, IT services, methodology, governance, and consistency across all lines of business
• Align overall business and IT goals and create innovative technology solutions to continue to drive Aflac's competitive edge
• Create, maintain and manage enterprise infrastructure IT architecture models and their lower-level components, informing a range of business improvement activities, particularly those involved in the design, development, enhancement, and maintenance of IT support systems
• Lead the global IaaS/PaaS/SaaS strategy, execution, support, and delivery of the services
• Provide overall leadership to the technology team and develop the technology vision for the infrastructure, IT operations, and cloud organizations.
• Work with the CIO and business leaders to identify business and technology opportunities to drive change, enabling Aflac to scale in terms of revenue and efficiency.
• Lead the company's infrastructure architectural direction and create consistency across engineering teams, overseeing and improving agile processes.
• Support Aflac's internal client experience by proactively monitoring Aflac's technology ecosystem's hardware and software infrastructure needs.
• With a process improvement lens, identify and drive efficiencies, considering Aflac's direction in utilizing cloud technologies.
• Capture migration requirements. Create cloud migration strategies; define delivery architecture, create the migration plans, and design the orchestration plans
• Ensure implementation of operational processes and standards
• Lead in the selection of technology products, ideas, and technology partners, including outsourcing capabilities where appropriate
• Effective leadership of agile organizations of 150+, and budget of ~$100M. Ability to govern vendor relationships and measure outcomes.
• Manage the cost of IT by recommending and executing actions to overcome adverse variations and/or trends. Identify potential business risks when budgets are not available or restricted and manage such issues accordingly.
• Plan and manage capital expenditures and the technology team budget.
• Lead engineering and architecture efforts to ensure the company's technology continues to evolve and stay current, including an increased focus on cloud solutions
• Performs other duties as required
• End to end responsibility for the delivery of IT Operations services to Aflac globally on a 24 x 7 x 365 basis
• Identify and source strategic technologies and tools for incorporation across Aflac physical technologies and platforms.
• Drive transformation across Technical Operations, significantly improving the level of service to the business
• Explore and leverage emerging technologies to drive efficiency in cost of services, Cloud Adoption & Engineering, Cloud reliability, Security and Scalability.
• Align the IT infrastructure goals and execution to the business the jointly achieve those goals.

Total Rewards

This compensation range is specific to the job level and takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including, but not limited to: education, experience, licensure, certifications, geographic location, and internal equity. The range has been created in good faith based on information known to Aflac at the time of the posting. Compensation decisions are dependent on the circumstances of each case. This salary range does not include any potential incentive pay or benefits, however, such information will be provided separately when appropriate.

In addition to the base salary, we offer an array of benefits to meet your needs including medical, dental, and vision coverage, prescription drug coverage, health care flexible spending, dependent care flexible spending, Aflac supplemental policies (Accident, Cancer, Critical Illness and Hospital Indemnity offered at no costs to employee), 401(k) plans, annual bonuses, and an opportunity to purchase company stock. On an annual basis, you’ll also be offered 11 paid holidays, up to 20 days PTO to be used for any reason, and, if eligible, state mandated sick leave (Washington employees accrue 1 hour sick leave for every 40 hours worked) and other leaves of absence, if eligible, when needed to support your physical, financial, and emotional well-being.
