Utilize your diverse collections and leadership background to help us shape and enhance our account Servicing team as our Vice President, Collections. The Vice President, Collections is responsible for driving and executing a successful strategy for Collections and Recovery. This includes but is not limited to, collections of early, late-stage, repo, skip-loss prevention, recovery collections, meeting or exceeding KPIs, all while maintaining emphasis on customer experience. The position will initially require the individual to help benchmark Client's existing customer collections service infrastructure, processes, dialer strategy, and workforce management to industry best practices and help develop a refreshed collections strategy that will accommodate future planned growth. The individual will be required to execute this strategy while improving KPI performance and reducing delinquency

Other Essential Responsibilities of the VP, Collections
- Optimize processes, techniques, and performance of dialer and WFM technology integral to collections operation
- Develop and execute collections strategies to minimize delinquencies. Oversee collections operations to ensure delinquency rates are managed; losses are minimized, and consistent department and company policies are followed and updated as needed.
- Design and maintain optimal servicing processes for collections (including early stage, late stage, recovery, skip & loss prevention, repossession, 3rd party collections, and legal interaction)
- Partnering with Workforce Management & Dialer Manager for maximizing the effectiveness of scheduling, intraday management, performance metrics, data analysis, reporting and overall operational functions
- Developing and implementing a robust dialer strategy for both calling, texting, and capturing prior express customer consent to be contacted on their cell phone and/or email
- Responsible for the management of all employees including staffing, compensation, performance management, training, and development, & succession planning
- Meet or exceed KPI Collection, Productivity, and Customer Experience Metrics while ensuring compliance with FDCPA as well as federal and state debt collection laws.
- Identify trends and understand industry risks, to ensure monthly, quarterly, and annual projections are met. This position will report to the SVP, Head of Account Servicing and be responsible for managing the Collections and Recovery team.
- Driving a best-in-class employee and customer experience as well as successfully leading the team through change and growth
- Provide oversight of nearshore collection vendors, and, if warranted, proactively pilot and actively search for partners providing better solutions
- Daily monitoring of the department goals and their correlating reports, identify trends and coordinate with SVP to suggest changes to current collection strategies to ensure day-to-day productivity goals are met
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Ability to lead teams across multiple locations, remotely, and manage Vendor servicers relationships with successful outcomes
- Knowledge of the credit life cycle and full collections including key laws, rules, and regulations
- Experience managing repo and collection vendors to ensure they meet SLAs, are compliant, and provide acceptable service overseeing risk and managing operational concerns
- Ensure adherence to State and Federal Collections Regulations adhering to best practices to drive results and minimize regulatory risk.
- Ability to provide support and guidance in high-emotion and sensitive situations.
- Strong communicator (verbal and written)
Education & Experience:
- 3+ Years of Collections Servicing and Recovery Management experience
- Master’s degree a plus
- 3+ Years leading and/or partnering on a successful Workforce Management and Dialer strategy
- Relevant work experience at lending organizations (consumer finance companies, mortgage companies, banks)
- Bachelor’s degree preferred
- Branch Collections Manager experience a plus
- Similar combination of education and experience will be considered
- Experience managing debt collection sales, debt collections agencies, legal submissions, and collections portals
- Experience gathering prior express consent for a portfolio to be contacted via cell, dialer, and email
Certifications and Licenses:
- Nevada Collections Manager License a plus
Travel Requirements:
- Travel 25%-50% as needed to oversee collections and recovery functions. Ability to relocate preferred.
Compensation:
The salary range for this position is between $87,000 - $153,800 annually. Pay is based on experience
Flexible work option: Although working at our Headquarters location in Wausau, WI is preferred, you can choose to work from your own home office space within the United States (remote).
