SRU is seeking motivated candidates to manage, plan, organize and direct a division responsible for regional water distribution and sanitary sewer collection systems, including Automated Meter Reading (AMI), backflow and crossconnection control, automated work order management and inventory control, as well as contracted services. Duties include preparing and monitoring the division’s budget, implementing division and department goals and objectives, coordinating personnel matters including selection, evaluation and discipline, coordinating work with other departments and agencies, maintaining records and files, preparing reports, and related work as apparent or assigned. Minimum Requirements:

• High School diploma or GED and extensive supervisory experience.

• Thorough knowledge of the methods and practices related to the construction, maintenance and operation of water distribution and sanitary sewer collection system infrastructure and applicable laws and regulations.

• Possession of Grade A Water Distribution certification preferred

. • Possession of Backflow & Cross-Connection Control certification preferred.

• Valid NC Driver’s License

Salary range: $60,559.82 - $86,600.32 / year (DOE)

$2,000 sign-on bonus to be paid as a lump sum after completion of 90 days.
