Job Description

General Summary of Position
The Vice President ("VP") of the Transformation Office will provide overall strategic and operational leadership for the Transformation Office and provide day to day oversight of the transformation design and implementation. This position will establish transformation governance processes and program management, define success and how it will be measured, establish the transformation office core team, oversee development of the change and communication plan to allow for successful adoption and strategically sequence efforts to foster adoption and implementation success. The Vice President of the Transformation Office will be accountable for the overall performance of the Transformation Office and the results delivered through initiatives supported by the Transformation Office.


Primary Duties and Responsibilities

  • Reports progress and benefits of initiatives to the Steering Committee and Executive Sponsors and other Executives; responsible for resolving roadblocks and escalating issues, as required
  • Works collaboratively with enterprise, functional, and facility leadership to support achievement of the Transformation Office's goals, set initiative benefit targets, leverage subject-matter expertise, facilitate alignment, integration, and collaboration across the enterprise
  • Selects and implements tools for tracking and reporting on transformation initiatives and develops process for reporting progress
  • Builds program management infrastructure that accelerates impact, course corrects as needed and optimizes resource utilization and serves as the centralized analytics hub for benefit tracking
  • Serves as a champion of change and performance improvement throughout the enterprise and partners with appropriate resources to develop and implement effective communication plan in consultation with executive sponsors and steering committee
  • Serves as a conduit between other organizational bodies that may be impacted by, or involved in, Transformation Office initiatives.
  • Leads process for selection and prioritization of transformation initiatives to be supported by the Transformation Office; recommends initiatives to the Steering Committee and Executive Sponsors for approval
  • Continuously analyzes functional area performance across the enterprise to identify new opportunities for performance improvement initiatives
  • Staffs, manages, and supports Transformation Office team in the execution of their day-to-day responsibilities (e.g., support development of hypotheses-based solutions, structure of data analysis)
  • Responsible for establishing, maintaining, and executing the strategic vision, operational responsibility, and goals of the Transformation Office in line with the strategic vision of the organization's Executive Leadership
  • Oversees collaboration with the Finance department; understands key financial statements, balance sheet analysis, and ratios and supports related financial operations (e.g., forecasted budget implications)
  • Continuously evaluates ongoing initiatives to determine value, streamline implementation, and ensure strategic investments are meeting expectations
  • Oversees any consultants engaged to participate in the business transformation initiatives to achieve targeted results



Minimum Qualifications
Education

  • Master's degree MHA or MBA preferred
  • Bachelor's degree BA or BS required

Experience

  • 25+ years of work experience, including transformation management and healthcare experience required

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Strong interpersonal skills: ability to navigate complex stakeholder matrix, including C-Suite executives
  • Demonstrated ability to lead complex projects and achieve goals
  • History of superior leadership performance
  • Prioritizes mentorship and team member coaching
