Job Description
The Vice President of Supply Management- HTM is responsible for end-to-end delivery of successful supply chain solutions for Sodexo’s Healthcare Technology Management organization. This role has responsibility for the contracting for a broad category of parts and services.


Primary responsibility is to ensure that the Company is purchasing the right parts and services at the most competitive price, while taking into account the quality level required by the business line. The Vice President of Supply Management, HTM serves as the focal point of negotiations with national and regional vendors and represents to the marketplace the requirements of the business in product specification, quality level, continuity of supply and optimization of purchasing leverage. Formulates, interprets, and implements Supply Management contracts throughout the supply chain. Determines purchasing strategy in conjunction with Operations to be employed on a given product line or commodity. Manages service contracts with national and regional vendors. Represents the needs of the operating divisions with regards to product specification requirements, marketing support, and HTM support.


In coordination with the HTM leadership, the VP manages the entire process to solicit and analyze competitive proposals or bids, including the RFP process, financial analysis, solicitation of input, the contract award and communication as appropriate throughout the Organization.


The position is remote, can reside anywhere in US.


Responsibilities and Duties:


  • Build and document strategic sourcing plan for all categories under management by following SDX template posted on Supply Management drive.
  • Identify opportunities for reducing the “total cost” of a product line or vendor.
  • Manage contracting for a broad category of national and regional goods and services with regional vendors.
  • Ensure the Company is purchasing the product at the most competitive price while taking into account the quality level required by the business line.
  • Identify new national and regional vendors which enable the Company to maintain a competitive advantage.
  • Serve as the focal point of negotiations with regional vendors and represent to the marketplace the requirements of the various businesses in product specification, quality level, continuity of supply and optimization of purchasing leverage.
  • Ensure that pricing at the account level is competitive and that overall, Company profitability is maximized.
  • Exercise sound business judgment and high ethical standards when conducting business on behalf of Sodexo.
  • Represent the needs of the operating divisions with regards to product specification requirements, marketing support and HTM support.
  • Execute the SDX Supply Management seven step process (i.e., profiling the category, category strategic plan, profiling the sources, source and negotiate, award and contract, implement and execute, and benchmark).
  • Work with Quality Assurance to qualify and monitor manufacturers’ regional vendors and their practices for compliance to Company policy.
  • Negotiate all elements of program with national and regional vendors to control pricing.
  • In coordination with HTM, manage the entire process to solicit and analyze competitive proposals or bids, including the RFP process, financial analysis, solicitation of input, the contract award and communication as appropriate throughout the Organization.
  • Coordinate with the Finance Department the maintenance of all vendor programs.
  • Develop objectives, policies, and procedures for the procurement of goods and services Company-wide.
  • Interface with Operations, Management, Marketing, Corporate Purchasing, Finance, and
  • Formulate, interpret, and implement Supply Management contracts throughout the supply chain.
  • Determine purchasing strategy in conjunction with Operations to be employed on a given product line or commodity, e.g., formula pricing, competitive bidding, etc.
  • Implement procurement and distribution programs.
  • Conduct business with vendors to review performance to the contract and identify future business opportunities.

Position Summary


The Senior Director, Strategic Sourcing is responsible for end-to-end delivery of successful supply chain solutions for Sodexo’s Corporate Services - IFM Clients. In our FM delivery model, a significant portion of work is subcontracted, including janitorial services, landscaping and snow removal, food services and catering, waste removal, and others. These subcontracted services are a core part of our proposition, and the Senior Director, Strategic Sourcing role is accountable across three critical stages of engagement:


  • Creating winning, bespoke proposals that leverage the best of Sodexo’s supply chain and category management expertise.
  • Smoothly transitioning client accounts into a new supply chain and positioning the go-forward operations team for success
  • Developing achievable yet competitive financial and service commitments, and owning the plan to meet them;

Basic Management Experience - 10 years
