As the Vice President, Supply Chain, North America, you will be responsible for leading a high performing Supply Chain team in the US and Canada for the Sandoz division. You will have direct responsibility for the market supply of Sandoz products to customers in the United States and Canada, as well as own the supply / demand planning process, order to cash, logistics and warehouse, and import / export trade operations and compliance.
Your additional responsibilities include, but not limited to:
  • Accountable for developing and implementing strategic, tactical, and operational plans for the Supply Chain region to optimize supply chain results.
  • Deliver the numbers: customer service, working capital (inventory), forecast accuracy, demand alignment, and operational costs, whilst staying fully compliant through a motivated, engaged and empowered organization.
  • Shape and influence the external environment to position Sandoz as a high quality, highly reliable supply partner with Providers, Retailers, FDA and trade associations.
  • Develop a deep understanding of the generics mindset and business model to ensure strong partnership with all market functions.
  • Utilize digital capabilities to improve supply chain efficiency, capability, and market share for Sandoz.
  • Ensure products are produced and delivered to customers’ expectations.
  • Set strategic direction and policies for building a best-in-class supply chain operation for supply sites, raw material, and distribution warehouses

The pay range for this position at commencement of employment is expected to be between $201,600 and $302,400/year; however, while salary ranges are effective from 1/1/23 through 12/31/23, fluctuations in the job market may necessitate adjustments to pay ranges during this period. Further, final pay determinations will depend on various factors, including, but not limited to geographical location, experience level, knowledge, skills and abilities. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements, including a sign-on bonus, restricted stock units, and discretionary awards in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits (including 401(k) eligibility and various paid time off benefits, such as vacation, sick time, and parental leave), dependent on the position offered. Details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided if an employee receives an offer of employment. If hired, employee will be in an “at-will position” and the Company reserves the right to modify base salary (as well as any other discretionary payment or compensation program) at any time, including for reasons related to individual performance, Company or individual department/team performance, and market factors.

Minimum requirements

What you’ll bring to the role:
  • Minimum of 10+ years of leadership experience in roles with increasing responsibility such as Director / Head of Supply Chain or Director / Site Head of a Supply Plant. Preferred industries include pharmaceuticals, fast moving consumer goods, IT, textiles.
  • Experience in an organization engaged in Six Sigma / Lean process improvement
  • Excellent oral and written communications skills and fluency in English
  • Experience in ERP systems, ideally SAP and Kinaxis Rapid Response, with a track record of effectively utilizing the data as necessary and knowledge of forecasting technology/process
  • Strong influencing, interpersonal and leadership skills
  • Strong collaborative skills, ideally gained in a matrixed environment
  • Understanding of advanced supply chain concepts and their financial impact (inventory turns, cash flow and working capital)
  • Expert knowledge and extensive experience with the most current and advanced theories and practices within multiple related professional supply chain disciplines, such as transportation, warehousing, production control and global purchasing, etc.
  • Strong organization and project planning skills
  • Minimum of a bachelor's degree is required. MBA or equivalent advanced degree is preferred

This opportunity is located at the Sandoz Princeton, NJ site, and will not have the ability to be located remotely. Preference will be given to local candidates not requiring relocation.
