Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly qualified and experienced Vice President of Risk Management to join our organization. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and implementing an effective risk management strategy to identify, assess, and mitigate risks across the organization. The VP of Risk Management will also provide strategic direction and leadership to the risk management team, ensuring that risks are managed in accordance with the company's risk appetite and regulatory requirements.
Duties & Responsibilities:
1. Develop and implement a comprehensive risk management strategy that aligns with the company's objectives and risk appetite. ·
2. Lead the risk management team in identifying, assessing, and mitigating risks across the organization.
3. Evaluate and assess the effectiveness of existing risk management processes, tools, and methodologies, and recommend improvements where necessary. ·
4. Develop and maintain risk policies and procedures in accordance with regulatory requirements and industry best practices. ·
5. Collaborate with business leaders and other stakeholders to ensure that risk management processes are embedded in business processes and decision-making.
6. Provide guidance and support to the risk management team in the development and implementation of risk assessments and risk mitigation plans. ·
7. Provide regular reports to senior management and the board of directors on the company's risk profile, risk management activities, and emerging risks.
8. Stay up-to-date with emerging risks and trends in the industry and incorporate them into the company's risk management strategy and processes.
9. Foster a risk-aware culture across the organization through training, communication, and awareness-raising activities.
Job Requirements:
1. Bachelor's degree in business, finance, or a related field. Master's degree preferred. ·
2. 10+ years of experience in risk management, preferably in a leadership role. ·
3. Strong understanding of risk management frameworks and methodologies.
4. Knowledge of regulatory requirements related to risk management in the financial services industry. ·
5. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
6. Strong leadership, communication, and collaboration skills.
7. Ability to work independently and lead a team.
8. Experience in managing and mitigating risks related to technology and cybersecurity is a plus.
Compensation: $200k - $250k + annual incentive + long term incentive
