Job Description

Vice President of Corporate Development


SUMMARY

This position is with a a multi-state, private equity backed, field service organization. The VP of Integration/Bus Ops (officially titled SVP of Business Operations)plans, directs, coordinates, and oversees business operations activities in the organization, ensuring development and implementation of efficient operations and cost-effective systems to meet current and future needs of the organization.


PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Studies ways of effectively introducing change and making improvements that will increase productivity and reduce costs
  • Manages project timelines and proactively identify needs, constrained resources, conflicting priorities, and scheduling issues
  • Fosters a success-oriented, accountable environment within the company
  • Other related duties as assigned
  • Works collaboratively to develop and/or improve systems, processes, controls and procedures that improve the overall efficiency of the Company and ensure excellent service
  • Closely partners with senior executives and workstream leaders to develop, enhance and deploy improvement strategies around these key strategic business initiatives .; Is closely aligned with our operating model; drives timely and objective decision-making with sound advice and good judgment
  • Provide team alignment around key investment metrics for monitoring integration success (KPIs)
  • Establishes and administers the department's budget
  • Demonstrates a willingness to take on new tasks with a general attitude that no task is too small, impossible, or cannot be improved
  • Maintains knowledge of emerging industry trends in business operations management
  • Ensures and manage effective communications to all stakeholders
  • Ensures senior leadership is aware of critical issues/risks and drive them to resolution with constant and consistent objectivity
  • Motivates and leads a high-performance management team
  • Acts as a strategic partner on the leadership team and works closely with the team to ensure they are meeting performance expectations
  • Coaches and develops the team to ensure they are delivering against key business metrics
  • Provides overall leadership and program management for key strategic business initiatives including: Effective Integration of newly acquired businesses; Continuous Improvement of internal and external processes such as first time fix, demand to close; Effective field implementation on key growth adjacencies such as FSE and Monitoring, Development of tools and processes to enhance productivity (i.e. online billing issues)
  • Looks for methods to improve quality, efficiency and productivity, reduce costs, increase profits, or improve control measures
  • Provides timely, accurate and complete reports and presentations on integrations/process improvement business operations of the company
  • Exercises a high degree of business judgment and sound reasoning in all activities including managing escalation of issues and business risks, developing solutions and risk mitigation strategies
  • Acts as an agent for organizational change by recognizing integration gaps and developing mitigation plans/sustainable solutions with leadership (e.g., executives, leaders, team members, IT, etc.) and develop improvement recommendations


Education and Experience:

  • Experience directly managing a team
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration or other industry-related field required
  • At least ten (10) years of field service Industry experience required
