Job Description

POSITION DESCRIPTION


As Vice President of Creative Strategy, the primary responsibility will be creating unified creative and strategic offerings across STAR’s portfolio of solutions. This role will help create holistic solutions for clients who need creative and event programs that drive performance outcomes.


Ultimately, this role will help deepen STAR’s relationships with our customers by helping to define our clients’ business objectives, KPIs and audience messages, developing a strategic POV & framework with planning recommendations to make events, trade shows and other field marketing activation & experiences more engaging, efficient & measurable. This role will regularly interface with both prospective and current clients at the proposal stage to determine how strategy

and STAR’s design and marketing services can support their marketing goals and continue to scale, helping to build new relationships and support existing relationships.


The Vice President of Creative Strategy will also collaborate with the STAR Marketing Director to help develop a comprehensive creative strategy that supports the agency's growth objectives. This may involve identifying new market opportunities, developing new service offerings, articulating creative approaches to marketing, or exploring new channels for reaching potential clients. By working closely with the Marketing Director, the Vice President of Creative Strategy can ensure that the agency's marketing and creative efforts are aligned with its overall business strategy, and that they effectively communicate the agency's value proposition – its “Why” – to potential clients. This, in turn, can help the agency attract new clients, deepen relationships with existing clients, and ultimately grow the business.


KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Collaborate with the agency's new business development team to develop proposals and pitches that showcase the agency's strategic capabilities.
  • Work with cross-functional teams to identify and articulate the agency's key attributes and white spaces in the market.
  • Work with cross-functional teams to uncover clients' business objectives, KPIs, and target audience messages.
  • Continuously monitor and analyze industry trends, emerging technologies, and competitive landscape to identify new opportunities for growth and innovation.
  • Foster relationships with key clients, serving as a trusted advisor and helping to identify new business opportunities.
  • Hire, manage and mentor a team of strategists who are in charge of client and industry insights.
  • Develop a strategic point of view (POV) and framework that aligns with clients' objectives and KPIs.
  • Partner with Director of Marketing to develop articulation of STAR’s “Why,” including key creative approach to messaging.
  • Provide planning recommendations to make events, trade shows, and other field marketing activations and experiences more engaging, efficient, and measurable.
  • Help present activation approaches and strategies during key client meetings.
