Our client, a leading provider of technologically advanced capital equipment solutions in the construction industry, is looking for a Vice President of Capital Sales. This position will drive strategic efforts and initiatives along with leading, supporting, and developing their capital equipment sales team. As well as being a key contributor to the leadership team and their organization, you will lead the department’s development and deployment plan to achieve revenue, gross margin, and income objectives. In this role, you will manage and foster relationships with a large, diverse distribution base across North America to provide custom engineered solutions.


PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Provide leadership to the business unit and other areas of the company consistent with Company’s corporate values.
  • Partner to create pricing and marketing material to support new product development. Gain more product and maintain relationships with national accounts.
  • Continually seek improved methods with a view to improve customer service to market level. Monitor appropriate competitiveness within the market.
  • Provide reports and communicate to management status of performance metrics on an on-going basis. Manage and establish department’s financial budgets.
  • Manage direct reports in a manner to achieve maximum performance by the business unit team members. This includes motivation, development and training and performance reviews.
  • Foster relationships with top customers, influencers, and decision makers


EDUCATION / REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration or related field or experience.
  • Experience with distribution-based sales channel management.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and initiatives at one time.
  • Ability to collect, develop and present information to customers or internal stakeholders at all levels of the business.
  • 15+ years experience in capital equipment or related services,7+ years of managing people/leadership.
  • Ability to provide leadership to the department and other areas of the company consistent with Company’s corporate values.
  • Ability to develop and implement business plans aligned to achieve revenue objectives.
  • Communicate effectively to varying audiences including customer and across the organization.
  • Ability to achieve business objectives through leadership, training, and delegation.
