Job Description

Overview:

A Soft Home Goods company that manufactures textiles (bedding, curtains, dec pillows, etc.) and sells to brick & mortar, Omni and pure play ecommerce retailers is looking for a VP of Sales. The must haves are, someone who currently sells to and has relationships with big box retailers and is a strategic sales leader with a proven sales track record.


Responsibilities:

  • Deliver reasoning based upon analyses of customer insights, customer strategy, internal financial analysis, portfolio, promotions, marketing/multi-channel, and inventory
  • Have a thorough understanding of the soft home industry, seasonality, and business trends/events, and continually monitor competitor/industry developments.
  • Develop business plans for the Company inclusive of strategy and tactics to scale the business
  • Metrics based decision making through analysis of all business data
  • Lead a team to scale the business maximizing programs with key accounts, regular and off price.
  • Collaborate with cross functional peers and advocate for growth and development needs of the organization to support the business (account management, marketing, PD, operations, etc.)
  • Sales leadership to support business needs, including brand strategy and forecasting
  • Execute strategic negotiations with all retail customers
  • Responsible for all Sales activities including ownership of sales, forecasting, financial budget, inventory, planning and industry trend updates
  • Hands on selling and business development with major big box retailers (ex. Walmart & Target)

Qualifications:

  • Strong leadership experience to manage existing team and building one
  • Home industry B2B Sales leadership in excess of $50M for over 5 years
  • Outstanding relationships with executive management at all major retailers; ecommerce and brick & mortar.
  • 10-12 years of progressive experience managing high volume business-to-business sales
  • Exceptional oral, written, analytical and interpersonal communication/presentation skills
  • Bachelor’s degree and experience in the Home Goods industry
  • Hands on/get your hands dirty approach with the ability to lead at a high level
  • Hands on approach in addition to senior leadership vision and execution
