We have an exciting opportunity for a dynamic Vice-President General Manager to lead our manufacturing facility in Groveport, Ohio.

General Information:

The Vice-President, General Manager provides leadership to the manufacturing and operations teams to achieve the highest levels of safety, service, quality, and productivity. The position is responsible for strategic planning, process improvement, employee relations and problem resolution to improve organizational effectiveness through building and developing operations organization, processes, and procedures to support strategic direction.

What are we looking for?

 

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Business Administration or related field required; M.B.A is strongly preferred.
• Fifteen or more years of manufacturing and supply chain experience, in a world-class manufacturing environment, with a minimum of 3 years P&L experience in an operations leadership role. Commercial experience a significant asset.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience leading people.

This position is responsible for:

 

• Provides leadership, coaching and mentoring to site leaders in accordance with established corporate philosophy and core values; communicates corporate philosophy and core values to all site employees.
• Responsible for site Profit & Loss (P&L) performance and implementing strategies to improve results and reduce overall expenses; manages the cash flow statement to deliver positive and targeted cash-flow.
• Delivers site financial performance targets by overseeing Plant Controller, Production, Compounding, Warehouse, Engineering, Maintenance, Quality, Facilities, Human Resources and Safety all in a matrix organization.
• Stays abreast of technological and process innovations and best practices in the contract manufacturing sector; research applicability to company operations; recommends and implements strategic changes in manufacturing and operations strategy.
• Establishes manufacturing policies in the areas of appropriate manufacturing techniques, materials usage, shipping and receiving, capacity planning, production scheduling, safety, customer satisfaction, employee relations and performance measures.
• Fosters an environment of continuous improvement and teamwork which encourages employee involvement, contribution, and positive morale.
• Establishes operations standards for cost control, waste reduction, quality, safety, and complete and on-time delivery; implements and maintains operational excellence standards and best practices by benchmarking internally and across sites.
• Directs implementation and execution of manufacturing policies and practices, to include SOP’s and cGMP’s, throughout the organization.
