Job Summary
Proactively ensures VRMS has a high quality and high performing pool of vendors by performing portfolio analysis and risk assessments, compliance reviews, vendor pool management and vendor performance evaluations. All these functions are to be completed while maintaining focus on continuous improvement of process efficiency and effectiveness.
Essential Functions/Performance Dimensions and Tasks
- Portfolio Analysis
- Perform analysis of inventory trends verses capacity and performance of vendor partners to determine service gaps and risks
- Onboard new vendors
- Coordinate vendor selection interview process
- Perform cost analysis and risk assessments
- Other functions, duties, and tasks as assigned
- Management retains the discretion to add to or change the duties of the position at any time.
- Ensure proactive compliance with licensure requirements and move inventory as appropriate
- Create and conduct Webinar’s monthly along with Operations for Property Preservation and Broker vendors to provide reminders of process in specific areas but also provide any upcoming events or process changes.
- Obtain due diligence documents
- Collaborate with business units to make vendor selections
- Coordinate vendor training
- Determine training needs
- Perform analysis of inventory trends verses capacity and performance of vendor partners to determine service gaps and risks
- Analyze performance data and collaborate with business units to determine vendor performance
- Monitor, evaluate, and coach vendors regarding their performance during performance improvement periods
- Off-board vendors and analyze placement of inventory as approved by Vendor Corp management and the Quality Assurance department
- Coordinate training with Vendor Resource Management University as necessary
- Identify and communicate process gaps (e.g., IT enhancements and tracking) to appropriate parties
- Vendor Pool Management
- Conduct new vendor sourcing to ensure that all assets have assigned vendors by obtaining Requests for Information (RFIs) as requested by the business units or as identified through portfolio analysis, operations dashboard, and exception reporting
- Create Statements of Work
- Coordinate vendor selection interview process
- Collaborate with business units to make vendor selections
- Conduct contract review
- Onboard new vendors
- Coordinate vendor training
- Off-board vendors and analyze placement of inventory as approved by Vendor Corp management and the Quality Assurance department

Job Specifications
- License: No certification required; Real estate license preferred
- Education: Some college required, Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration preferred; or ten plus years’ experience
- Experience: Five plus years’ experience in vendor management with specific emphasis in building relationships, sourcing, screening, contracting, onboarding, performance managing, training, and offboarding vendor partners. Experience with preservation servicers preferred.

Job Context:
The majority of work will be performed indoors in an environmentally controlled setting. Some property inspections and conferences will require travel and performing work outside of a controlled office setting. The work environment also includes: business casual; frequent contact with others via e-mail, telephone, face-to-face, letters and memos; daily decisions which have high impact on co-workers and company results; a high level of autonomy within highly structured process flows; and, may frequently include working beyond 40 hours per week.
