JOB SUMMARY: Members of the Valet Services team are responsible for providing remarkable customer service to all patients, visitors, employees, departments and all others with whom he/she interacts. They are to promote good customer relations by consistently providing premier customer satisfaction with a friendly demeanor and willingness to help. Staff working in this capacity will welcome and assist patients, their families and visitors entering the facility while answering questions, providing information and directing people to the location they need. Individuals should be mature, dependable and caring with the ability to communicate courteously and effectively. Must be able to maintain strict confidentiality of patient information.
This position is a Safety Sensitive Position. The essential functions, physical demands, and mental competencies of this job require the employee maintain the ability to work in a constant state of alertness in a safe manner.
JOB SPECIFIC DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITES:
- Assigned uniforms will be worn at all times and will be kept neat, clean and in good repair.
- Valet stations should be maintained in a neat and professional manner.
- Complete safety trainings as required.
- Employee shall maintain their personal hygiene and appearance to project a professional image appropriate for their assignment.
- Monitor commercial and transport vehicle traffic for the purpose of loading/unloading patients to ensure proper parking and efficient traffic flow.
- Ability to multitask and tend to several customers at once.
- Monitor and maintain safety, security, and cleanliness of parking areas/levels, and report any security or safety problems to manager.
- Provides assistance to patients and visitors by obtaining wheelchairs, or other services as needed.
- Escorts or transports patients who need help to their destination within CARTI.
- Able to effectively re-route traffic to alternate parking levels or locations when the parking facility reaches maximum capacity.
- Cordially greets visitors and patients upon arrival. Ascertains patients’ and or visitors’ needs and directs them accordingly with respect for patient privacy.
- Assists patients entering or exiting vehicles.
EDUCATION, CERTIFICATION, LICENSURE and REGISTRATION:
- BLS Certification
- High school diploma or equivalent
EXPERIENCE, KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS and ABILITIES:
- Minimum of one year work experience in a customer service environment.
