As the UX/UI Designer, you will be responsible for designing intuitive and visually captivating user-centered experiences from K-12 students to district administrators. You will be an integral part of the product development process, collaborating with a cross-functional team and are expect to be a self-starter that who work effectively with little oversight.

Job Responsibilities

The UX/UI Designer will be primarily responsible to:

• Engage with clients to proactively identify areas of improving user experience.
• Ensure responsive design and adherence to accessibility standards.
• Collaborate with product managers, developers, and other stakeholders to ensure a seamless and cohesive user experience.
• Develop and maintain wireframes, user flows, prototypes, and high-fidelity designs using Figma.
• Conduct user research and usability testing and gather user feedback.

Job Skills and Qualifications

The UX/UI Designer should possess:

Required Skills:

• Attention to detail, creativity, and problem-solving skills.
• Experience creating and driving visual design strategy, design practices and principles.
• Excellent communication with the ability to advocate design concepts and rationale.
• Proven UX/UI design experience with a strong portfolio.
• Expertise in Figma.
• 3+ years of hands-on experience as UX/UI Designer.
• Ability to work both independently and collaboratively.

Preferred Skills:

• Familiarity with HTML, CSS, and JavaScript to collaborate effectively with developers
• Experience with UX tracking tools like PendoUI or Google Analytics
• Experience with educational technology or child development software
• Familiarity with other design tools such as Sketch, Adobe XD, etc.
• Bachelor's degree or higher in design, human-computer interactions, or related field.
• Knowledge of accessibility standards and best practices.

Job Salary and Benefits

The starting base pay is $90,000 to $120,000, depending on employee location, experience, and skillset. Flashlight may pay more or less based on employee qualifications, market value, or other logistical considerations.Successful candidates for this position will be required to undergo and pass a comprehensive background check as a condition of employment.
