Turkey&Levant Brand Opex Controller
Location: Budapest (Hungary), Istanbul (Turkey)
50% Remote working

About The Job
As Turkey&Levant Brnad OPEX Controller, you will drive consistency and standardization for the CF Opex management (perso costs, projects costs) across the geography and functions in collaboration with other Controllers. You will develop partnerships with the Finance Business Partners, other Controllers as well as with the Budget Owners to drive results and control forecasts and budgets. You will find a positive and supporting atmosphere in the team and neighboring functions as we work together to strengthen the finance partnership with the business – you will be supposed to contribute to and strengthen this.
This role is part of the Opex Center of Excellence (COE) within the Finance Operations and Transformation team. You will help to identify and implement new ways of working as we transform the way Sanofi controls Opex.
This position has people management responsibility of one person, brand opex analyst position. There might be some travel required occasionally.

About Growing With Us – In This Role You Will
  • Manage country overall personnel costs assumptions and run, track all assumptions built into budget and forecasts
  • Track headcount monthly and compare to budgeted and forecasted vacancy rates, including trend analysis for key drivers of change
  • Improve the business partner experience to focus on value creation
  • Design and implement new ways of working with FinOps GBU Controllers & Finance Business Partners across GBUs, as well as Transversal Opex Team to provide cohesive and seamless support to Business Leaders
  • Promote efficiencies and improved ways of working across designated region and ensure best practice sharing Design and implement new ways of working with FinOps GBU Controllers & Finance Business Partners across GBUs, as well as Transversal GtN Team to provide cohesive and seamless support to Business Leaders
  • Develop a standard dashboard and/or scorecard of Opex and headcount results  
  • Educate client groups on all aspects of financial policies and processes to ensure compliance  
  • Continuously challenge legacy ways of working and status quo, identify gaps and recommend new ways of working – focus on best practices
  • Creating a positive, supporting atmosphere and harmonization and a common goal for the team having the implementation of their tasks
  • Develop transversal expertise and calculate impacts in regards of salary costs and fringe benefits
  • Support all key finance initiatives, including iShift implementation and SMART Spend 
  • Manage accurate and timely month-end and quarter-end closing activities in collaboration with other OPEX COE members (accruals, journal entries, HC tracking…)
About you: qualifications, education and work experience
  • Technology savvy, business orientation, and agile learning abilities required
  • Highly capable working in multiple systems and tools
  • Strong organization skills: ability to track and manage a high volume of projects at a detailed level
  • Proven experience working across multiple internal stakeholders
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team, in a complex international matrix environment
  • Strong analytical capabilities with attention to detail
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting / Finance / Economy
  • Experience in collaborating amongst senior management, business, and functional leaders
  • Solid grasp of evolving Sanofi technology platforms, processes, and controls including SAGA
  • Advanced excel skills
  • Min. 2 years of experience in a controller position
Nice to have:
  • Experience in SAP Unity / CEP and TM1
  • MBA and/or CPA
  • Public accounting experience
  • Pharmaceutical industry experience
  • Commercial Finance
