Treasury Cash Analyst - Il Chicago

Joseph T. Ryerson & Son, Inc., is one of the largest metals distributors in the US. We operate approximately 100 locations with 4,000 employees in North America and China. We are currently seeking a Treasury Analyst to contribute as an essential member within the Corporate Treasury team in downtown Chicago, IL. The Treasury Analyst will report to the Director of Treasury, but will work with all members of the team
Roles and responsibilities include:

• Leverage existing and emerging technologies to streamline, simplify and standardize cash management processes (i.e., Tableau, Alteryx, Power BI)
• Prepare presentation materials for senior management; ad hoc analysis, projects and other duties as assigned.
• Lead banking and treasury workstation administration including the management and validation of users, bank accounts, and counterparty information
• Participate in the negotiation of leases and oversee lease lines and providers; enter and maintain lease transactions in LeaseQuery; coordinate and communicate lease expirations with business groups to disposition assets timely and accurately
• Create analysis tool to track and benchmark bank service fees
• Partner with AP to leverage the treasury workstation and develop a solution to automate international payments
• Direct cash management operations which include daily cash and debt administration while ensuring compliance with SOX and internal policies
• Assist with the M&A integration for Treasury related activities
• Rationalize and recommend banking products, platforms, and services as appropriate
• Identify, propose and engage in process improvements to current systems and processes
• Prepare cash forecasts and compare actualized performance against forecasts
• Perform bank account management activities such as opening and closing accounts, signatory updates and FBAR reporting
• Develop and publish dashboards that provide visibility to the company’s financial position and compliance with debt covenants

Position Requirements:
• Bachelor’s Degree is required, CTP a plus

• Must be able to work in a fast paced, fluid environment where personal initiative is encouraged
• Strong understanding of cash management, corporate finance and accounting
• Critical thinking and strong analytical, problem-solving and follow-up skills
• Understanding Kyriba Treasury Workstation a plus but not required
• Dynamic individual who has demonstrated the ability to adjust to changing priorities and meet deadlines
• Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Power Point and Word applications
• 1- 3 years finance/treasury/accounting experience preferred, but not required
