Job Profile Summary: Cleans, sanitizes and disinfects all areas of heath care facility. Cleans hard floors and carpets using various types of equipment. Collects and transports solid and infectious waste within the health care facility. May also perform room set up within the facility.

Principle Responsibilities

• Cleaning tasks including dusting, mopping, emptying trash, changing bed linen, vacuuming, operating auto scrub machine to clean floors and others.
• Other duties as assigned.
• Maintains cleanliness of patient rooms, operating rooms, exam rooms, treatment rooms, care centers and public areas.
• Cleans and vacuums carpets to eliminate the build up of soil and stains.
• Collects and transports solid and infectious waste within the health care facility.
• May transport items such as tables, chairs and other items to locations of events.
• Keeps cleaning closets organized and clean.
• Keeps cleaning cart organized, clean and stocked.
• Cleans hard floors and carpets throughout the facility.
  • Utilizes large auto scrubber and buffer machines to maintain hard floors.
  • Cleans and vacuums carpets to eliminate the build up of soil and stains.

• Utilizes hospital equipment and supplies in a safe and effective manner.
  • Keeps cleaning cart organized, clean and stocked.
  • Keeps cleaning closets organized and clean.

Job Requirements

• Less than 2 years of hard floor or carpet cleaning experience preferred and
• High School or GED required
• Less than 2 years of environmental services experience preferred

Additional :

• Every other weekend
• The selected candidate needs to be flexible. This position will help with housekeeping duties, floor projects, and haul trash.
• 3pm-11:30pm
• Floor experience not required
