Loader Foreman

Responsible for maintaining a ‘Safety First’ culture on all activities performed by the load staff and ensures that all company safety polices and practices are followed. This position requires an action-oriented individual who has an interest and desire to meet order fill rates in a safe and efficient manner. Responsible for 2-8 yard workers in a high volume explosives distribution center. Responsible for coordinating loads, unloads, and moves materials within or near plant, yard, or work sites, including security checks and performing any combination of the following reads pick ticket orders or follows oral instructions to ascertain materials or products to be loaded,

• Fork lift certification is required (Will train)
• Promote work safety practices and lead by example.
• May occasionally operate industrial trucks to assist in loading or moving materials and products.
• Responsible for performing accurate order fulfillment counts. Counts, weighs, and records number of units of materials moved or handled on daily production sheet.
• Responsible for ensuring product is handled in an efficient and damage free manner to obtain operational goals associated with these areas.
• Must be flexible and able to make decisions that our in the company’s best interest.
• Lifts heavy objects by hand or using power hoist.
• Good oral communications and math skills.
• Loads materials into vehicles.
• Self-starter sets high personal work standards; and is willing and able to crosstrain on unrelated tasks.
• High school degree or equivalent.
• Loads and unloads materials onto or from pallets, trays, racks, and or shelves by hand or by forklift.
• Responsible for ensuring adherence to all quality, safety, security, housekeeping, and customer service practices and that company guidelines are met.
• Responsible for ensuring yard equipment is properly maintained and manage all aspects of service on equipment.
• Responsible for working with our Explosive Operating Procedures to ensure picking and staging functions are followed for inventory accuracy.
• Attend monthly meetings.
• Cleans work area, machines, and equipment, using broom, rags, and cleaning compounds.
• Responsible for maintaining productivity, coaching, training, motivating, and ensuring safety standards are met on a daily basis.
• Other duties as assigned.

Job Requirements

• Work on uneven and loose surfaces.
• Ability to lift 50 - 80 lbs.
• Ability to perform essential functions of the position.
• Outside environment, all weather conditions.
• Stooping and bending 60 – 70% of the time.
