Full-Time: Mon-Fri 11am-7:30pm

Performs patient transport and other related duties in a timely manner. Assumes responsibility for designated area or procedures as requested. Recognizes the purpose or employment is to prioritize the patient as number one and to put forth the utmost quality in duties performed as radiology transporters.

JOB DUTIES – Responsible for transporting patients according to the designated method and adhering to scheduled times as nearly as possible, to and from diagnostic and treatment areas. Responsible for assuring that patient is properly dressed or gowned for examination. Responsible for notifying department concerned in the event that a patient cannot be transported at a time other than scheduled. Performs safety checks on transport vehicles. Safety checks documented. Sets a positive and professional atmosphere for patients. Maintains a positive and loyal attitude toward employer. Follows Hospital and Departmental Policies and Procedures.

QUALIFICATIONS AND ACCOUNTABILITY

• Good knowledge of body mechanics.
• Successful of on the job training program or applicable experience.
• Must be able to provide care to all age groups in scope of service.
• High school diploma or GED.

Supervised by the Radiology Supervisor, Director of Imaging, and the Executive Director. Evaluations are the responsibility of the Director of Diagnostic Imagining and the Radiology Supervisor. Evaluations are conducted on completion of a three month probationary period and thereafter, on a yearly basis.
