General Sales Manager :
  • The General Sales Manager is responsible for leading various aspects of the Variable Operations Department including revenue generation, sales performance results, employee development, operations, and customer satisfaction for new and used vehicle sales, F&I, and Business Development (BDC).
  • Location: Hendrick Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram FIAT (Concord).
  • Schedule: Full Time, day/evening/weekend shifts, business hours 9:00am-8:00pm.
  • Pay Range: $250,000 per year and above (based on job performance).

Job Responsibilities:
  • Maintains effective employee relations.
  • Follows Safeguards rules and regulations.
  • Works to motivate sales, finance and BDC team employees and managers.
  • Observes all Federal, State, Local and Company safety rules and regulations in the performance of duties.
  • Ensure MOC reputation achievement each month, per the Hendrick guidelines.
  • Demonstrates the Company’s Core Values.
  • Other duties as assigned.
  • Ensure successful achievement of Autoguard Tier 3 each month.
  • Maintains an organized, clean and safe work area.
  • Oversees training and supervising of sales, finance, and BDC team employees.
  • Develops product promotions to motivate sales, finance, and BDC team employees and managers.
  • Has working knowledge of factory(s) incentive programs.
  • Oversees department inventory and pricing.
  • Participates in required training.
  • Ensure successful achievement of all monthly sales & CSI objectives for the dealership, as outlined by the manufacturer and the Hendrick Pre-owned Performance Plan Objectives.
  • Works with upper management and Human Resources to make hiring and discipline decisions.
  • Works to improve sales and operations.
  • This job has direct supervisory responsibilities.
  • Assists sales and finance team members with processing or completing sales.
  • Oversees departmental gross profit and related departmental expenses.
  • Regularly attends required manager meetings and bucket meetings.
  • Complies with Company policies and procedures.
  • Oversees reporting of sales to manufacturer(s).
Qualifications:
  • Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers and company personnel.
  • College Degree preferred.
  • Valid Driver’s License.
  • Satisfactory automotive sales management experience within respective dealership (Chrysler Dodge brand or similar with high volume preferred).
  • 5 years of relevant work experience.
  • Ability to read and comprehend instructions, correspondence, and memos.
  • Knowledge of Dealership Management System, Microsoft Office products, and web based applications.
